So...we just found out one of the ladies in our group is preggo. She will be about 3 months when we arrive @ TTR and YES they are still planning to make the 5 night trip with us! (Good sports). So....any advice OR do you think she will still have fun? I don't have any kiddos so I wouldn't know. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated! THNX!
In my opinion...I have 2 lil ones and being pregnant is not always fun....at 3 months is usually when you really start to feel it. I would NOT want to be in a place that is all about partying. She is gonna wanna sleep ALOT! And I dont think she would enjoy it as much. Me and my husband put off having another one till after our trip cause i didnt wanna be prgnant there. But that just depends on the person.
They were trying to be careful and put it off until after the trip....yeah, that didn't happen. She said she wants to go since they won't have an opportunity to have another vacaton in a long time. I just hope she won't regret it and hopefully she'll be one of those lucky ladies who has an easy ride on the Prego Bus!
Been there done that! No big deal for us. It's still a great party. She might not be out partying to the wee hours everynight....but make the best of it. We had a great trip anyways. However, everyone is different.
just enjoy...and there's always a special glow about a pregnant woman....very sexy indeed....Take it at your own rythm...and have fun ...cause after might be a long time before the fun can happen again....a great time the kid will only learn about when he-she is 20.....Did you know that when your mom was pregnant she went to......OMG Mom !!!! lolll enjoy !!!
Your friend needs to ask her OB/GYN if she should make the trip. Between the flight and the extreme heat of the summer, it might be a very bad idea for her and her baby. I guess she would also have to consider whether she'd be really miserable surrounded by people drinking all day/night when she couldn't. Some would be really bothered by this...others not. If she decides to make the trip, extra health care coverage would be a very good idea.
Tell her to be very careful walking around the pool areas....I keep reading how slippery it is! Then tell her to smile when everyone else is hung over and complaining! She should go and definately have a good time....she will only be 3 months pregnant.....this is when you start to feel the best in your pregnancy (at least most people). It is actually the safest trimester of pregnancy also!
Shouldn't be a big deal I just found out I am pregnant too, after booking the trip a few months ago. But we're still going and plan on having fun. The only downside for me is that I can't drink. But I am going to relax, have fun, sight see, etc etc. This is my second pregnancy, and by the time I arrive to Cancun, I'll be starting my second trimester, and possibly even starting to show, but who cares. The motto at TTR is no one knows you and no one gives a sh*t and I certainly don't care what people think about me being preggers and going. Like I said, I booked the trip before I even knew, but these things happen. Your friend will still probably enjoy her trip and they can call it their BABYMOON! :lotsofmichaelfs:

That's pretty much what she's thinking too...don't really care what others think just want to make sure she's not going to regret going! She actually went to the doc's today and her doc said that her timing is actually perfect because she'll just be starting her 2nd tri-mester, which I guess is the best time to travel. It's not like she planned it, but a BABYMOON is a perfect way to refer to it! *high five*
We were in the same situation 2 years ago, booked & paid for the trip then found out she was pregnant. We still went, but its true, the late nights are not gonna happen. We still had a nice relaxing trip, and yes you better learn how to say "pregnant" in spanish...as every bartender will give you a weird look when you order drinks without alcohol
