Thinking about taking another trip to Cancun but wanted to make sure the oil spill in the gulf isn't affecting Cancun. Can anyone confirm that all is well on the beaches of paradise?? :)

Absolutely no effect here, and none anticipated, for the present. The spill is at the north side of the Gulf of Mexico, and the currents are carrying the oil to the east, and north, hitting those U.S. states along the gulf from Louisiana to Florida, so far, 800-1,000 miles from Cancun.

Cancun is not actually on the Gulf of Mexico- but you could think of it as being on the south side of it, if you wanted to (near where the Carribean joins the Gulf), on the side of the Gulf opposite the leak, not anywhere near it; we'll still be keeping an eye on developments, though we don't expect any problems, really.
