Earlier someone mentioned that there is a bar about 10 minutes down the beach that has free wifi - but I couldn't get a name or clarification on which way on the beach it is. Anyone know of this bar? Or any other bars within walking distance with free wifi?
When you walk out to the beach. Turn to the right and walk about 10 minutes. You will eventually run out of beach and there will be a cement pier. Usually there are pirate ships docked there. There is a small open air bar, usually playing cool tunes. Not sure what is the official name .We call it the pirate bar. They offer free wifi with a drink purchase. It is open from 10am till 1am. They have a small menu of finger food type items. Some evenings they have singer/guitar players playing. They also have event parties, like Super Bowl or Oscars. They get a small friendly crowd in there (mostly snowbirds staying in the nearby condos) and it is a nice diversion if you need a break.
Sounds like a good place to go and chill whilst the mrs spends 2 hours getting ready in the evenings :ernaehrung005::daveandmo:. Thank you Leeroy.
that's unfortunate. Certainly seems like the area by Temptation is a bit lean on businesses. Hopefully something can make a run of it at that location.
If I want to chill for a bit while Laurie is getting ready before dinner, I simply go down to PatyO's and order a martini ..... very few people are there, they serve hor d'oeuvres, and it's very relaxing. Alternately you can do the same at the quiet pool bar (though it's a much smaller bar and has no food). If I'm wanting to chill for just a short while...... going off resort doesn't work for me, because the hassle of getting there and back kills the chill effect.
