We will be coming to TTR mid March, and have some friends that are visiting Cancun during the same time period so we are trying to think of a place to meet up with them one night. We are early 40's. Clubs are loud and not our idea of fun so we will avoid Coco Bongos, the City, etc. Aside from Sr. Frogs or Carlos n Charlies, does anyone have suggestions we could go for a few beers and maybe some live music off the resort? They are staying at the opposite end of the 7 from where we are. Any suggestions would be great!
Margaritaville or Pat O'Briens might be an option for you, for location in the hotel zone, and depending on what night of the week, not always loud and packed. Of course if you want to go downtown Cancun, you will find some quite spots. Or even head towards bullring. There are a couple smaller bars, without touristy feel, that have music.
It's been so long since I've been off the resort in Cancun I didn't know they had a Margaratitaville or Pat O'briens! I will definitely check those out thank you!
Np Both of 'em are approx middle to lower part of the '7' Take bus on other side of road from TTR. Get off when see either or. They are on the bus route, 5 or so minutes past Coco Bongos.
I ended up at a bar my first time out there - it was cheesy tiki hut themed and they had these little air things that blew girls skirts up? Upstairs there was a tattoo/piercing place. Is that SeƱor Frogs? If not - does anyone know what the place is? I loved it. It was like being at an actual bar that's fun. Tried Coco Bongo's and another place before - I can't stand the crammed into your "VIP" space and it being impossible to get a drink.
