We've booked trip to GrandOasis Cancun for middle of August. We always loved this hotel and staff service. During our past few visits, we came to this hotel in the months of September/October and experience was outstanding. Crowd was mature and service was world class. Our background is bunch of 30's single guys. Last time we came to Grand Oasis during May/June and it was filled with highschool kids. Pools were filled by them and all we saw was kids between ages of 16 and 20. Not anything against them, but we felt like we were in middle of teens and felt little old, ha ha. During months of Sept/Oct, we always experienced more mature crowd and less occupany which was perfect. Now this time we are coming in middle of August. So what to expect from Grand Oasis during August... 1) What type of crowd? Middle age mature or teens? 2) What sort of occupancy? 80% filled or 60% filled or less than that? The reason I'm asking these questions is whenever we saw less occupany we always experienced much better services from staff. And, we're coming there to relax, party and chill.
Not too sure with this hotel specifically, but August is very popular with Mexicans and I wouldnt expect the Grand Oasis to be any different. August is also a popular time for Brits. Summer break for high school kids is typically the busiest in June, so that timeframe has passed. August is not a high season month so I'd be surprised if occupancy was much over 60%.
