to Oasis Palm Beach, you know when your travel agent scares the shit out of you! well mine rang saying my hotel is closed so now staying at Oasis Viva Beach or Be live what ever you call it. Anyone know anything of this hotel. After spending a year of research on my hotel now start from beginning ha. Cheers for any comments.
Mate least your still coming! Apparently it souinds ok to be fair, I mean im no expert...(At all) but wherever you are mate providing your AI and the beers flowing your laughing. What travel agent did you go through mate?:clappyinghappy:
Oasis viva is a nice hotel and walking distance to the clubs. This allows you free access to the Oasis Cancun also, so you are good. :daveandmo:
Cheers for the comments guys, And Thomas cook it was through. However in all fairness to them they just sorted us out straight away and it seems we've had an upgrade. As I've not been to either hotel nor Mexico, so all I'm going on is pictures and what people are saying regards the hotels. They seem on par if anything with viva that little bit nicer. Plus its closer. The days are dragging so much its torture.
yes, the days do drag until you get there. But once you are there, take it all in, your vacation goes by SO quickly, so sleep when you get home, party while you are there. Live the dream.
Folks, I'd be real careful with presuming that the "Be Live Viva" Resorts in Cancun have reciprocal privileges with the "Oasis Resorts" and that a paid day pass wouldn't be required. There are however, reciprocal privileges for the Oasis flagged hotels, Grand Oasis guests can visit all open resorts within the group, Oasis guests can pay $45.00 for a day pass to visit Grand Oasis Resorts. After the dust cleared from the Oasis VS Globalia lawsuits, the parties came to a settlement which: 1 .- Globalia will operate until April 30, 2012 the three hotels: the Riviera Maya, Viva and Viva Grand in Cancun, with a total of 750 rooms, under the brands "Be Live". (presumably, after 4/30/12, the resorts will return to control of Oasis Hotels.) 2 .- Oasis will operate the rest of the Mexican Caribbean hotels immediately, under the brands "Sens", "Oasis" and "Grand Oasis", with a total of seven hotels and 3,150 rooms. 3 .-Based on published reports from Oasis Management: Currently the Grand Oasis Cancun and the Oasis Cancun are open for business, the Oasis Palm Beach will re-open on March 15, and the Grand Oasis Caribbean, Grand Oasis Playa, Oasis America, and Sens Resort will reopen shortly thereafter based upon demand.
Oasis palm beach is shut for when were there on march 28th, is what my travel agent has told me. They know this on good authority as it was the hotel that told them. As well as telling them that we get free entry to all other oasis/be live resorts for a day pass. I'll double check if your thinking other wise tho.
Here's a link to the article RE: Oasis Resorts Opening Oasis Hotels & Resorts Brand Returns To Cancun Now it's entirely possible that they pushed back the opening date again but the article from Tuesday quotes "Enrique Klein, Vice President of Sales & Marketing of TravAmerica, the organization which exclusively markets the Oasis properties in North America." The new Grand Oasis Cancun Brochure notes that guests at the "Grand" Resorts can visit other Oasis properties that are open gratis, specifically mentioning the other four resorts and the day pass costs for Oasis Cancun guests at the Grands, none of them are the "Be Live" properties being operated by Globalia. http://www.oasishotels.com/english/special_packages.html Hence, I would be surprised if the "Be Live" Resorts have gratis rights to any Oasis Resort operated property, thus I would check directly w/ the "Be Live Viva Beach Resort" & the "Oasis Cancun Resort" directly to confirm such before arrival and not rely on the Tour Operator's information.
