Did we read that right? Is it true that you can't wear jeans, shorts, or sandals in the restaurants?? :icon_neutral:
Wear them to the restaurant and if they say not allowed, take them off at the hostess station. Actually, we never had a problem wearing jeans at any restaurant.
In the reservation restaurants only, you should wear jeans or pants. You can wear shorts to the buffet or to Margarita's (where we eat lunch and dinner most days).
The key is to have something on that looks decent. So no the jeans you use to change the oil in the car or truck probably aren't going to cut it. Shorts, well I wish nice shorts were ok but I guess they have to draw a line somewhere. Always remember that the Tex Mex and buffet don't have those restrictions. And the food in both can be quite good!
I have actually been turned down because I had shorts on. Bring a pair of pants its alright (I stayed longer than I expected, and mine were all dirty)
Seriously ,,, the women at Temptations get all dressed up and look hot for their men The least you can do is put on a pair of pants and wear some shoes and be a man
I have worn shorts & sandals in both the asian & italian restaurants and not been challenged about it by the staff. However, Stacia makes me wear not your ordinary shorts and sandals, she gets me those Banana Republic or Tommy Bahama shorts, and my birkenstocks are to sandals what a Porsche 911 Turbo is to a car, so, keep that in mind. People generally just "look good" in the reservation restaurants, I think that is the underlying premise, and since that's so wishy-washy a thing to define (it wasn't when I was bouncing at the bar - Hot chicks got in, dudes dressed "nice" did as well, and the thugs and bums were excluded), they use the jeans and shorts exclusion to bar access by the great unwashed. So, simple. Wash yourself, shave, look presentable. No stains, no cut-off anything, pressing the clothing is a nice touch, and you should be OK.
During our stay (July 16-21), we ate at the Italian restaurant twice which has a dress code. I had pants, button down shirt, and closed toe shoes each time, but I can tell you our experience was that on both occasions not only did other patrons wear shorts, some were in flip-flops and tanks, and I'm talking about the men. None were turned away. I guess that would be my only complaint, that if there's a dress code .. enforce it.. otherwise don't have it. But I do agree with others here, if your significant other is dressing to to impress for you, do the same for her.
Kevin wore dark, well-fitting jeans to the Asian and Italian places, no questions asked. He did have on nice button downs too. Gotta admit, he looked hot
