we all know the internet there is spotty at best. The only way to get decent coverage is if you have an international phone plan with access. That being said we have to ask ourselves, is it a good thing or a bad thing TTR doesn't have WIFI? Think about how many more creepers there would be coming to the resort and rather than just taking the obscure NO NO picture of one of the beautiful ladies laying around the joint without permission, now they would be live streaming video of body shots and all other private stuff. Am I the only one thinking this way?
It took me a few days to get used to not having my phone by my side.. "oh let me google that"... or "Oh Let me grab a pic of that"... or "I wonder what's going on on facebook"... But by the end of the week it was kind of nice. Side note: Labor Day 2012 was the first time I had gone more than 48 hours without a cell phone and/or internet access since about 1997... Maybe 1995...
I was originally concerned about the lack of internet, but ultimately was sooo glad there was none. It allowed us to truly disconnect from the rest of the world, which ultimately is what a vacation should be about, imo. Plus, between the pool, the shows, the food, Paddy O's, and the porn channel, we never had time enough to be bored enough to miss the internet.
Leave the world behind. Vacation is for getting away. What better way than to disconnect. I agree, you are so busy enjoying the place that it does not cross your mind after a day or two.
We got back today and they actually do have WIFI... I believe it is around 70 dollars for the week. Friends we met down there needed it for business and allowed me to log in with my phone to check my email, etc. I was able to use it in our room but they only allow 1 device to be logged in at a time. I also noticed that they have a WIFI access "vending machine" located outside the lobby which we did not notice the last time we were there. I believe you can buy so many minutes from it or go to the desk and pay for the week. All that being said... You are on vacation and if you don't "need" it there is no reason to worry about it.
It is way to good to give a shit about Internet lol if we need to use the Internet we can pay to use the computer but never really need to lol bring on feb 24th to march 10th 2013 we can't wait it going to be EPIC :uk1:
We are members so we don't pay for WiFi, but we hardly used it. I tell work I am dead to you for the week we are there. If there is an emergency I will check voice mail once a day.
Members get free internet?? Personally, I enjoy being disconnected for a week...facebook sometimes would be nice to brag about how great of a time I'm having...but otherwise...nah...
