I've done quite a bit of research here and I am still confused. The one thing that kept me from wanting to go to TTR last year (ended up going to Hedo III) was the trip reports that said there was very little night life on the resort, and that if you wanted dancing and night time activities you had to go off resort. Some reports actually said that the staff tried to shut down activities after 9:30p and usher partiers off the resort so that they could save on liquor. I really enjoyed the theme nights at Hedo, as well as the disco and the hot tub, not necessarily for sexual reasons, but just as something fun and exciting to do into the wee hours of the morning. As I began researching vacations this year, it seems that TTR is more lively at night, and more people are choosing to stay on resort. Is there a club for dancing, or is it just a bar atmosphere? Also, the theme nights at Hedo were a blast! I've noticed that people are arranging theme nights on their own. Can anyone just jump in with the group? What do you do if you weren't aware of the theme. Seems some preparation has to go into it for clothing, glow stix, etc. My wife and I will be there from 7/21-7/28. We've noticed events for the last few nights we will be there, but not the first few. I hate the feeling already that I might be missing out on something, so if there's anyone else out there with the same dates wanting to get something going, let's do it. On another subject, how much does the Boobs Cruise and Isla Mujeras trip cost, and are they one in the same or different trips?

    7heaven,

I'm a newbie to this forum myself, so I doubt I can be of much help. My husband and I are actually going to TTR on July 21-27, almost exactly the same time frame you are going. In regards to the events, I assume you saw this thread:

    http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/tem...386-july-aug-theme-day-nights-7-25-8-8-a.html

There's a schedule of events for the Cancuncare forum peeps. The dates of those events will start on the 25th. So far I haven't seen any other events starting on the 21st, etc, but that's not to say that you couldn't create your own events and post them here. That's what one member did for the July 25-Aug 8 events because those are the dates that they are going to the resort. As for me and my husband, we already have plans to go to Chichen Itza and Isla Mujeres when we first arrive in Cancun, so I'm not too concerned with activities or events during my first few days. But we'll probably go to the clubs with the resort staff during the weekend that we're there. We'll probably join in on the scheduled events on July 25th and 26th.

Be sure to check out the thread if you haven't done so already, and add yourself to the July roll call if you're interested in doing that. Its just a way for others to recognize cancuncare peeps, etc. Here's the link to the July roll call too.

Although H3 has more nightlife at the resort than TTR does, I defiately noticed much more nightlife at TTR when we were there 2 weeks ago, than there was in prior years...The main bar area is Paty-Os. Its a bar atmosphere, but they seemed to have a DJ every night, playing house/electronic, and some dance music...and there is dancing there too...Its seems to go all night long, with the crowd thinning out after 2 or so....Theres also the Alternative bar, which is much less crowded and Nice Shoes, where theres a show every night about 9pm, that seemed to only be crowded until 10 or so when it was over, then they played music and there was some dancing...but it was very slow after that..

If there arent theme nights when youre there, then start your own, that's what I did...we had 3 theme nights in 5 days...since this board doesnt represent everyone that goes to TTR though, its not going to be everyone doing them...but if you can get a good group from here to participate, it will be fun....We had about 20 to 30 people each night joining in...And theme nights are usually open to everyone, the more the merrier, you know?

The Boobs Cruise goes to Isla, and Steve (owner of this site) organizes it based on interest and number of people from this board going on that date...you may want to check with him...I think the cost is $65 or so and includes booze, lunch and games, etc. The hotel does a day cruise over there too, but i dont know what days or the cost.

Bro their is a club nice shoes, actually two. I forget the other clubs name. Both had folks in their partying and having fun. Been to hedo III, I would 't quite say its on that level but their is fun to be had on the resort, and i must say the resort staff is the best anywhere in the world. I have been all over the world. Its not the most lavish place but the staff are beyond reproach! Hope this helps
