I know opinions will vary on this, but which are the best Clubs in Cancun to hit for the evening? If you respond with recommendations, could you provide some reasons as to why.

And is there a set schedule for the outing that TTR runs?

    Thanks!

(October can't get here soon enough!)

Coco Bongo is most peoples favourite. It's a great experience if you have never been there before, but not somewhere you would want to go every night. I think the hotel takes folks there twice a week, but it is open every night if you want to go by yourself.

Sweet has been getting some good reports lately, again the hotel will have an arranged night out there. It used to be called Dady Rock, and is where I met my wife 14 yrs ago!

Mandala gets good reviews but not somewhere we have visited ourselves.

Sorry, not sure of the current schedule of nightclub trips from the hotel. There are no bad ones, but I'm not keen on Snr Frogs myself.

Our favourite night out is Paty O's, right there at Temptation - and the drinks are free ;)

I can definitely say that both Mandala and Sweet are a blast. The Congo bar and Dos Equis bars (open air bars in the club zone) can be a lot of fun as well on a smaller budget, just take earplugs if you are sensitive to loud music!

My friends and I only went to one club while in Cancun...the second night. After that we never felt the need to leave TTR. We went to Mandala, and I can tell you coming from the NYC club scene we had an amazing time. We paid $50 per person for bottle service with a table on the dancefloor. With all the variables things can change and people could have a different experience, I can tell you though that I recommend trying Mandala out.

    From a single-dude-in-cancun's perspective:

My two buddies and I did the tour with TTR. Do it. There is a set schedule. Can't remember when we left. I want to say something like 8 oclock. They do it a couple times a week. I'll have more info when I get back late September.

This won't be the best synopsis of the tour, you'll see why, but anyway.. we boarded the bus with what I feel was like 25 other guys, the TTR chick was getting us all hyped up and we were chantin and hollarin like the cavemen we are... I think it just happened to be all guys because of the crowd we had at TTR at the time... I'm sure its always more of a younger crowd but I'd imagine theres couples that go... anyway when we got to Sweet, we walked in and passed the lines and unloaded on the place. It was a blast. The club was hoppin. Danced like a fool for way too long. Music was jumpin and there are chicks there that pour shots down your throat and blow whistles for money. I didn't have cash so my buddy kept payin for mine so I don't know how much each one cost. I really didn't want to leave the place. I can't count how many girls I kissed there, so I CAN say its a good spot to mingle-- unbelievably fun! I have some pics from that place. I forget what other club we went to that night.. mind was a blur after Sweet.

We went to mandala on a separate night advised by someone who quoted it to be the new and most happenin spot for the locals. He was right. Tons of latina chicks. Tons. Insane amounts. Everyone is in close proximity and its impossible to hear a word anyone is saying but F it you're there to kick it to the music and lose your mind! The open air atmosphere was awesome. I remember feeling like I thought the drinks were kind of pricey so you may want to get a buzz going at TTR before you head there. Don't do like me and get too much of one though, I got dizzy about 30 minutes in and had to just sit in the bathroom for like 10 minutes trying to power nap/sit it off. Came back out and was half way back to normal. Got to dancin-- tons of fun!

Can't speak on anywhere else. Hope that helps.

Like I said-- I'll be back home from my TTR trip at the end of September so give me a message then and I'll update ya.

For the folks that have been there recently, does anyone remember what the club outings for each night are currently? The thread I found is from 2008/2009 timeframe and I'm sure some things have changed.

Really only need Thursday-Sunday, but all is welcome

Mondays and Thursdays are Coco Bongo. Someone else will have to help with Fri-Sun.

You might consider trying to plan your club outings for the nights when there is NOT a live band at Paty-O's, which is only about twice per week. My last two trips to TTR the band was GREAT. They post the nightly entertainment in the mornings (I think on a board outside Paty-O's).

We went to SWEET - we loved Sweet. We did not go with the hotel but rather with 6 other people from the hotel we met. Us 8 were able to get a private area and that made it lots of fun!! It was the most fun club because we were with fun people.

The City - We went with the hotel. The club is large - very large. The music was fun and there was a bikini contest and that was fun to watch. The people from the club were selling the TTR reserved tables however and that was not cool.

Mandala - This was actually a club where you could dance on the dance floor with no issues. We had fun here and the hotel area was nice. I did not like the music as much at Mandala however.

I would say if you plan on going to a club, see if other from the hotel that you became friends with and are comfortable with are going. The people you go with really add to the fun :)

    Have fun!!!

I'm a Coco Bongo guy - certainly not every night but it is worth seeing once - we went in 08 with the hotel and paid $45 each - we went by ourselves last Sat and paid $70 - both time place was packed.
