Thought this should be documented for the smokers of Newports who happen to be searching for an answer: This just came to mind out of the blue but last year (2012) my buddy was searching the web trying to find info on whether or not Newport smokes are sold down in MX. Most of the posts were pretty old but said they couldn't find them anywhere, including around TTR. Having found that, my buddy decided to buy a carton (10 packs) of Newports here in Seattle, WA for something like $70. When we got to the Cancun airport... Newports galore. Aside from it taking up space in the luggage.. they were like ~$25 a carton! He didn't buy an additional box at that time, but he did on the way back to the states. I'm not a regular smoker but I thought I'd share this for any of those that are! It would have saved my buddy some cash if he knew! That's all! I'll update this later this month when I'm back from this years trip.
