Newbies here and was wondering if anyone would like to share pictures of what they actually where swimsuit wise while at the resort. I want to go a little out of my comfort zone, but want to make sure I won’t look ridiculous. Thanks everyone
No tops I bring a see through cover up for restaurants for lunch lol. And a not see through. I packed a couple of tops but never wore them. I actually bought sexy bottoms seperates. Saved $. Lol. So fun. Our 3rd trio June 9-15.
There is no such thing as ridiculous at TTR. Bring all the sexy stuff for both of you and rock it. You will fit in perfectly.
Hi Whitney, Okay, I know some of the regulars are not going to agree here, but as a newbie I'd have wanted someone to tell me to keep in mind that this forum is a small but vocal group. So, based on this site, you are going to feel like everyone is going to be topless, in a thong, or in something sheer. There will definitely be people in all of those--some all at once. However, the percentage will vary with the crowd. Some weeks, Cancuncare people might only be 20 percent of the resort crowd; other weeks, it could be closer to 70. The more CCC people, the higher the percentage of topless women and the skimpier the bottoms. I'd guesstimate the average topless/top-on ratio as 60/40%, and on our visits, there have been fewer thongs than topless women. So, find your roll call and gauge how many people from here will be here when you are. Also, this is not the type of vacation where you pack light. Bathing suits don't dry in tropical humidity, so you need AT LEAST 3. So, bring at least one that you feel AMAZING in and would wear at home, one that's a little out of your comfort zone--skimpier bottom or more sheer, and one that you'd say, "I don't think there's enough alcohol in the world that would get me to wear that in public" ('cuz, there IS enough alcohol, as many of us have found out the hard way!) Some will say don't bother with tops; I say, "Better to have and not need than to need and not have." Ever had burnt nipples? Uh huh...bring the tops! I was just in Target this weekend. I needed paper towels...I walked out with two bikinis (Damn you, Target!) They have a good number with really skimpy scrunchy/cheeky bottoms, which I think are a nice compromise between a regular bikini and a thong.
my best advice....topless with any bottom that makes you feel confident. bring lots of different ones. I have tons of bikini bottoms that i buy as separates. they run the range from somewhat conservative to downright slutty. I just throw them all in the suitcase and then i can wear what i feel like at the time... one piece of advice ...even if i start the day with a more conservative bikini bottom i throw a couple of more 'slutty' ones in the bag i take to the pool...the sun, alcohol and other people i encounter tend to change my exhibitionist comfort level throughout the day. also, even though i don't wear them at TTR I always bring a couple of bikini tops because we like walking the beach and i much prefer a bikini top to a cover up. (plus it gives me the chance to wear those tops that still show too much skin for the neighborhood pool)
We went for the first time this past October, and I started the trip going down to the pool in a bikini top and bottom with a coverup. By day 3, the 10 million bikini tops I bought for the trip never left the drawer! When we go back in 122 days...but who’s counting...I’ll bring 1 bikini top to put on for a walk on the beach, and that’s it. Long story short, wear as little or as much as you want. Whatever makes you feel comfortable!
Typical Stacia suit. Tiny see-through when wet. Of course, She'll typically not have the top on while at TTR, these were just posed shots since she doesn't wear the full bikini very often.
