Hi Everyone, We have been been considering Temptations resort for a while now.... We simply want to have fun, be in an atmosphere that is fun and when we get bored of it, we want to have the option to go jet skiing, walk away from the party sort of speak. I am getting mixed reviews about the place...we are married so we are not looking for a crazy frat party BUT we are social and during every single vacation we have become restless and sought out the local pubs and clubs... We are not out to simply see boobs...we want to have fun and also have opp to relax and maybe engage in other activities, horse back riding, the jet skiis, etc.... Can someoone clarify for me once and for all, is Temptations a place for couples or mainly single men? Is temptations really fit for couples or will it be like 1 female for every single 10 males....I know my wife and she will prob be uncomfortable and bored.... Our target dates are September 1st thru September 8th... Your feedback is greatly appreciated...
First off great time to come thats when we are going this is my 4th trip back to this resort and like any vacation it's what you make of it ! I never have to leave this resort to find entertainment they keep us pretty entertained with the activities and the night life at the resort but if your looking to venture out i say go for it but the atmosphere there is more couple then singles and a mix of all ages shapes and sizes and everyone is so welcoming to make the best out of everyones vacation ! I think give it a shot because this is the only resort i hear of so many repeaters going back to and everyone always asks me why i keep going back and i have to say i have never been bored here EVER why try something new !! hope this helps a little if you go at those times i will see you there !!
You will be very relaxed during your week there. We have gone over that period several times and the resort has been mostly couples, and the singles have been split almost evenly between guys and gals. There are jet skis, hobie cats, & kayaks at the edge of the property, however you will have to go off the resort for horses. I am sure the staff can easily arrange that for you. You can also walk away from the party by simply moving to the quiet pool during the day, or by sitting along the beach or one of the outdoor areas in the evening. You can also be as crazy as you like, as TTR has lots of choices. We have been to TTR a bunch of times and have never seen a large group of single guys that everyone was talking about in early April. You will be very pleased with the September crowd, and just look up Joe & Lauri if you want an escort for a late night swim:clappyinghappy:
I think the best part about Temptations is that it is what you make it, the resort itself offers up options for any and all types of people, from partiers to laid backs, old and youngs etc... after the first few hours there, you will see what and where you want to be at the resort.. Just keep an open mind and enjoy your trip, cuz ive heard of many people that went to just relax and rejuvinate, and after two days they were the life of the party.. you will meet great people and be given the opportunities to do whatever it is you and your spouse decide each day you want to do, its all there for you .............Enjoy your Trip
Hi there! My wife and I went to Temptation for the first time in February and absolutely loved it (we're going back in a month!) It's great for couples, and you can party as much or as little as you like. The resort is pretty big and during the day the party is really just at the sexy pool. Anytime you want a little more chill atmosphere, there's lots of room to get away, both at the quiet pool and the other end of the beach, all day everyday. Same thing at night - the party is mostly in one place, so join in or get away all you want. We've had the same experience you describe - we don't necessarily want to party all the time on vacation, but except for Carnival cruises every other vacation has left us scrounging for people to party with at night. (Disclaimer: once we got to Temptation, we pretty much DID want to party all the time - it's just too much fun!) My wife is asking if the food options with the all inclusive package are delish or simply buffet style party food... Any opinions on the food options...is the food worth talking about, the upgradeable restaurants, are they worth the extra money? Appreciate all the feedback...
We're really into good food and spoiled rotten on it in Chicago; before we went we resigned ourselves to a week of "resort food." We were very pleasantly surprised. Even the buffet was quite good - sure, there were always a few clunkers on there, but for the most part it was all tasty, and there's always a made-to-order station, too. As for full-service places, our meals at the Italian and the seafood restaurants were both excellent. Not "excellent for a resort", just excellent period. The Asian was good, a little up and down, and I don't think we had dinner at the Tex-Mex; lunch there was so-so. There's no upcharge for any restaurants - you just need a reservation for the Italian and Asian. You can make reservations 3 days in advance once you're at the resort.
Anyone know the easiest way to get an up to date schedule of events at the resort for the first week of September? I read about the casino night, white night, pool party, Steve's Boobs or Booze still not sure of the true name... Could really use a copy of the schedule bc if it's going to require her to buy anything, she's gonna need ample time...
Here's the description of nightly entertainment from the resort: Nightly Entertainment ::: Temptation Resort Spa Cancun From memory and a recent thread I think the schedule is: Fri White Night Sat Pool Party (DJ at sexy pool at night) Sun Dare to be Tempted (something new since Feb) (also Boobs Cruise day) Mon Caribbean Heat (performers and DJ at PatyO's) Tues Karaoke + Live Band Wed Revelation + DJ (strippers - missed it last time) Thur lingerie / Casino The only ones you really need to plan for are lingerie and White night. lingerie night and the pool party were the most fun nights last trip. Lingerie night you have to dress up to participate (women wear as skimpy as they are comfortable, men must be topless and no jeans or normal shorts.) White Night in Feb, most people didn't seem to even know it was happening. There is also a group bus that goes to a different club every night. Didn't go last time, hoping to this time. Normal nights at the resort, you can wear anything from nice club gear to casual. There's some of everything. Sometimes people here organize another dress-up night or two, like schoolgirl night or glo-stick night. But so far nothing like that is planned for our week (9/2-9/9) that I know of.
