hello all. it has been exciting reading all the information on this forum. both my lady and i cant wait for this trip to Temptations. we will be arriving may3rd to the 8th. we hope to have all the fun we can handle and great weather, its been a tough winter here in NYC. i have a question about nightclubs. do most people stay on the resort or do people leave to the main strip in cancun to party? thx in advance
They do assemble groups to leave TTR and go to co co bongos and places and you get to bypass the line and have premium seating but it's all on you to get back to the resort
Going to the Clubs at night with the Staff Club prices are running between $40-50 USD. That includes 1 way transportation to the club, bypassing the line, all your drinks while at the club, and being taken to a spot reserved for the Temptation folks. Once there you're basically on your on in the club and for getting back to the resort. The benefits of going out with the Staff to the club is that you are walking into the bar with anywhere from 40-120 other guests from the resort as opposed to walking in on your own. If you have ever gone to a new bar at home by yourself, you know the feeling and how much walking in with friends makes a difference. Sometimes the staff stays around for a while stirring things up and sometimes they don't. The night they take people to the club is usually the night before their day off. They usually work 12-14 hours days, 6 days a week so they have to get everything else done on their one day off. If they don't have a lot to do, maybe they can party for a while, otherwise early to bed, early to rise. There are a couple of other options; one is the Party Hopper Tour (available through the Cancun Tours word link at the bottom of the page and then Night Tours). This runs $65 per person and hits the Congo Bar, Sr. Frogs, and the City all in one night. If you have a limited time and want to see several bars in one night, this might be the route. But you only get a limited time at each bar so if you start having fun you might not want to move on but you have too. Another option is to go down to the bar zone on your own and hit all the minor clubs. Clubs like Mextreme that is a bar/restaurant, the Congo Bar, Corona Bar, Slices, DOS XX, Ultra, etc. These bars are open air bars that you can see what's going on from the street for the most part. The also have all you can drink prices for about $15 per person. Here you can also pay by the drink too if you want to go that route. If you do this, form your own gang to go with so you have someone walking in with you. Makes it more fun. You might start out for a couple of hours and end up watching the sunrise from your bar stool.
if you've never been to Cancun before I recommend leaving the resort at least 1 night that the resort takes out groups.. however we personally stay at the resort the whole time because we have experienced the bars and clubs there multiple times.. the night life at the resort generally is pretty good at least when we're there at the end of May. Tony loves downtown Cancun though
Stacia & I haven't been off the TTR resort to go to a club/bar since back when the nighttime Booze Cruise was the only thing running, so that'd have been... when? 2007 or8? Since the Boobs Cruise during the day, we've not been, b/c that old Booze Cruise thing used to go out into the water, cruise around for a couple hours, and drop you at Carlos & Charlies', then there'd be a bus from there to Senor Frog's. Those are two fun places, though much more intimate than City or whatever. More our style. Besides, the girls don't get nearly as crazy at a Cancun nightclub as the Patyo's parties. Just think about my favorite, White Dress Shirt Night. Hot ladies looking and feeling sexy as hell in their guy's White Dress Shirt and their hottest pair of ass-jacking high heels, and nothing on but maybe some skimpy panties ... and even that maybe may not last past midnight, see... So, get a group of like-minded hotties wearing open dress shirts with noghtin on under... THAT is a wonderful party, right there!
more fun and crazy on... So it sounds like more fun and openness on the resort. I will try both. One more question is the beach a private beach for this resort?
Yeah, we were gung-ho about going to The City when we first booked but we've "met" so many people on here over the last 3 1/2 months that we will, personally, feel like we waste a night if we leave the resort, since we are only there 5 nights. If we were there 7 or more nights, we would very likely do a nightclub trip but that's about 0% likely for us this short trip. But again, all personal preference
Last May was our first visit to TTR. We loved it! We did leave the resort twice with a group of people. We went to Mandela one night and to Coco Bongo another night. Both trips were booked through the resort so we got VIP treatment when we got to the club, didn't have to wait in line, and got bottle service at our table. If you do decide to go to a club one night, go to Coco Bongo! It is worth one night away from TTR. It is like a nightclub in the middle of a Vegas show. Super fun! It is very crowded so be prepared to bump into a lot of people. We don't plan on leaving the resort this time around. The nightly entertainment is enough for us at TTR. And RedSkiBums....I don't wear any at TTR or at home either. Mrs. AK_Cpl
