Thinking of booking my first solo trip Nov 27 through Dec 4. How are single guys accepted at Tempations? I have searched singles resorts and most reviews rate single guys in a negative way, like creepy or only there for one thing. I just got dumped by my significant other a couple months ago and need to get away to some place that will expose me to new friends and get me out of my boring life. I am not looking for anything just friendship and a good time. Would this place be the location to try without being labeled as the weirdo single dude. Any feed back would be appreciated. Thanks.
Honey, you will have NO problems. We just got back this week. My cousins went with me, and mind you they are both single males, and were VERY well received. I am in San Antonio, and am in OKC quite often. Hope you have fun at TTR!!
Hey Vince I can so relate to how you are feeling. I went to the Royal Resort Cancun adults only last NYE and was always asked will your wife be joining you this evening or is she not feeling well. When I would say I was there alone they would give me this sympathetic look. By the end of my stay I would just say yes she is not felling well. Then would leave the resort and have a great time in the clubs where nobody cared that I was on vacation alone. This is going to be my first time at TTR but after being on this site for over a month I'm sure this NYE is going to be spent at the resort and not the neighbouring clubs.:huepfen021:
Vince, you came to the right place. I have been going solo to TTR for the last 5 years, (been there about 20 times). I have never come back home not having a good time. In that place it is ridiculously easy to make friends !! Just be yourself, and you will find some of the friendliest people anywhere. !!
Well I am sure it is in here somewhere but what is the best way to get from the airport to the resort. Never been to Mexico much less traveled solo. Thanks
I'm going the same time for the 3rd time as a single. I've met so many great people that it's impossible not to have a great time. From what I've noticed the reason alot of singles get a bad rap is because they're going in packs and can throw of the vibe abit. All the others I've met going solo men and women alike have been cool as hell and know how to not take themselves seriously and just have a good time. Come up, say hi, we're usually all surrounding the bar and get ready for a blast!
For no charge usually your booking will include transportation. Just check with the site or agency you are booking through. Although you may be on a bus for 20-30 minutes more than if you went with a private transfer. If you want a private transfer just look at steves list of transfer companies.
We used USA Transfers as advertised on this site. They were prompt, friendly, there waiting for us at the airport, and no problems at all.
I always use Grayline. The fee is 13 USD. The only drawback is that it's a shared van, sometimes they have to make 2 or 3 drop offs before you at different hotels. This is because TTR is usually the last hotel on their run. You might actually get lucky, 3 times I was the only passenger on the van so they took me non-stop to Temptation. sweeet !!
