Hi All! I'll try not to be too long winded. First off I'm a 40 year old single guy of the non-creepy variety. I'm the only single person in my social circle and if I want to do anything it's often on me to do it myself. I've done several solo trips to Vegas (which is actually a perfect solo vacation IMO), but I've been wanting to do a Mexico/Jamaica/Carribbean thing for awhile and since must cruises screw over single travelers I decided to do an AI resort. About three weeks ago, I started to research things and decided I wanted to stick to Cancun for my first solo excursion. I quickly realized that many of the resorts I was reading about had a lot of families, nothing against kids, but not what I'm looking to surround myself with on this vacation. Long story short, Temptation was the place that kept popping up when I looked for AI Adults only. I started to read about it and not being in the lifestyle I thought maybe it might not be the best choice. Started reading more and it seemed that singles were more accepted here than at some other places and then I saw a few reviews reference this site. (I said long story short at one point, right?) Anyways, I started reading through this site and you guys were the ones that convinced me to come. I think I would be super self-conscious at being judged (physically) at some of the other resorts, but the crew here seems more than welcoming to all. Most of my questions (for now) have already been answered from reading through the forum, so I'll just write a few more things about me. Sept 8-15 is my first trip. My name is Ryan, but you can cell me D.R. like my screen name says. I'm pretty much a night owl, which sounds like it will be good if I make any friends while there. And I am unapologetic in my fandom of all my local pro teams (I'm from Boston). So, again, thanks. You guys should receive commission for luring in new guests.
Have a fantastic time.... Actually there is no doubt about it you will love it ..... We miss you by 2 weeks so won't meet but best advice I can give is Don't be shy, go talk to everyone the moment you arrive and it will all be just fine. Enjoy!!
Probably coming home the 5th or the 6th but have fun with the September crew. They are a great bunch of people. Usually we are there until the 9th or 10th as well so maybe next year if you become addicted.
