Have a group of 8 looking at doing the Feb 4th Boobs Cruise. Have a couple of people who are a little concerned with getting sea sick on the trip. Can you tell me how long you are actually on the boat? Is it pretty smooth sailing?

I have not been on one of Steve's Boobs Cruise but I have traveled that water way many times before in both smaller and larger watercraft. I am prone to sea sickness as well and I make sure I take gravol before and during the trip. I have only gotten sick once but that was because I drank too much!!!! Shame on me!

From what I recall it took us about an hour to get to the island, but I was having too much fun to really track the time!

It sounds like this is a trip not to be missed!

We leave around 10:00am and stop for a 40 min snorkel before arriving at the beach club for lunch around midday where we stay about an hour and a half.

Then back on the boat for the skinnydip stop and then on to downtown Isla Mujeres arriving about 2:30 and staying for an hour. We leave downtown Isla Mujeres at 3:30 and are back at Temptation around 5:00pm.

So total time on the boat is around 4.5 hours out of a total trip of 7 hours. There is never more than 2 hrs on the boat without a stop on land.

The conditions all depend on the weather which obviously we cant predict this far out. We cruise a stretch of water that lies off the mainland and is sheltered by the island so it is usually fine. People do get sick occasionally (maybe 2-3% overall) but it is rare that they feel so bad it ruins their trip.

It also helps that the boat is a catamaran so has two hulls meaning there is very little side to side motion. At 57 feet the catamaran is pretty big as catamarans go.

On the boat "in transit" for perhaps 40 minutes at the longest stretch, I'd estimate. The worst rolling motion is generally compensated for by the Captain, steering the craft into the swells, which tends to knock out the rock n' roll in the bad way. It can get a bit goofy for the last few minutes approaching the docking points, but you measure that in seconds, not minutes.
