I know it is a long way away but the wife and I are thinking about going to Temptation for New Years Eve. What is it like? How is the weather? Dont think I can really wait that long to go back but just gathering some info at this point.
I had a fun time and the weather was very comfortable. Still holding in the low 80s and around 65-70 at night. The crowd was a lot of fun along with a few VIPs and special guests of the resort mixed in
where booked to go for Christmas and new year 2019 as you say its still along time but keep looking on eBay for inspiration's on theme nights lol
We went for new years 2015, pre-renovations for the resort. Left the day after Christmas and returned on Jan 1. The resort is at capacity during this popular holiday. The resort was "full" of fun people but did not seem over crowded or packed in. They also put on a special show for NYE which was pretty nice. Weather was warm during the day, but as soon as the building shadow crossed the sexy pool around 5, it was a bit too cold and and most the guests would leave to get ready for dinner. It took us a while to get used to the sun going down early as we are normally TTR summer travelers. Pro- lots of people to meet and mingle with, weather during the day is very pleasant, not so hot like the summer months. Nights at Paty-O;s were unbelievably pleasant! Met some really great couples on this trip. How could you go wrong being at TTR for NEW years Cons - Airport travel for departure the day after Christmas was a 3 hr line to get get through Houston's airport security. The 5 day stay and airline tickets BOTH cost almost double for this popular Holiday vs off season. Take away: ITS A BLAST and great time to go. However, you can make two off-season trips for almost the same price. Make you plans early, the resort and airport parking fill up quickly during this time of year.
We love NYs at Temptation, weather is great, although around 430 you may be more comfortable in the hot tub, as it gets a little chilly when the sun moves behind the building. It’s busy, but not spring break busy and we find it’s always a good time. The themes are always hot too.
Went for NYE 2017. Since then, I've switched to July 4th timeframe for a couple reasons: 1. Warmer. This goes for both the weather and sexy pool. With it not being heated, seems like it's a much slower start to the day waiting for the sun to try to heat things up and help with the chill getting in the pool. Quiet pool was ice water - don't even consider it. 2. Length of day. With the winter solstice being only a few days prior, the length of daylight/sun is short and dropping behind the building before you know it. Was it fun? Heck yeah. Always is. But, for me, I can enjoy chilly weather at home. When I'm on vacation, I want it hot and sunny.
