Hi everyone, I'm new around here and looking for some advice. Me and a mate have just booked up for a week the first week in March 2013 in the Temptation resort. From what we hear Cancun is the place to be and we fancied somewhere different from the likes of the popular european party destination such as Ibiza, Magaluf etc. Also, from what I have read The City is the club to be? We are after somewhere lively and full of women! Is there any good line-ups for artists/djs etc around that time in Cancun? About the hotel Temptation, what makes it different from any other hotel? I've read that it is a 21yrs+ hotel and an 'adult experience'. From those who have been there, what was your experience of this? Also is there any spring break beach parties that go on around or close to Temptation? Many thanks, Ian.
I would do some research on the Temptations resort, its NOT a spring break hotel! The spring break headquarters and best party hotel is the "Oasis Cancun". Temptations is more of a couples resort and known for Adults. While it is a fun hotel, its not where I would ever book for spring break! All the clubs are fun, and yes, The City is one of the larger and more well known clubs in cancun. If you can change hotels I would to get a real spring break experience. Again, no offense towards Temptations, it's a crazy fun hotel, but more for couples.
EngineerGuy is right. Temptations is an adult resort and when I say "adult" I mean "very loose on adult activities". It is not a spring break resort. I'm sure you guys will have a great time since the dates you chose have a heavy amount of spring breakers in-town. The clubs won't post their lineups until sometime in February although the lineups WILL include some really big names in the techno/electro/hiphop genres. As far as hotels I would recommend: Barcelo Costa Why this hotel? All major year round travel / tour companies offer it = massive mix of students = more fun Better location that many other hotels, just 5 mins to the party center vs. 30 mins from Oasis One of only a handful of hotels that is all inclusive + offers a "toes in sand" bar on the all inclusive Quality much higher rooms inside than many other "popular" spring break hotels Bumpin' music at the pool Property is like a nice Holiday Inn on the beach Barcelo is a worldwide chain that's very well known not just in Mexico Gran Caribe Real why this hotel? Prime location, across street from Flamingo Plaza it's twice as close to the party center as Oasis True 5 star - not some dubious "5 star" it realy is a 5 star One of the only 24 hour all inclusive (including alcohol) hotel properties in Cancun Restaurants are superb & not overcrowded Higher end hotel keeps the trash out Hit us back for more info on this great city!
