When we switched to the new forum system in February I paid for a premium theme so the forum would look unique compared to other forums using a similar platform. However, over the months and due to customisations and upgrades various errors have crept in. Some users were reporting not being able to see a reply window, others reported missing avatars, others overlapping text. I wasn't able to figure out why some people would encounter those issues while for others everything was fine. I suspect various other errors were contributing to the forum slowing down. Therefore I decided to switch to the default theme, and will avoid making further tweaks and customisations. I think I prefer the old colours but the new theme will ensure the best performance and minimal errors. This should ensure maximum participation, which we all want.
Another issue with the old theme was that mobile users complained of being logged out all the time. There has always been a 'keep me logged in' button, but with the old theme it could only be seen if you turned your phone sideways, otherwise it didn't show up. I've just checked and it is now much more visible so should solve this particular frustration.
Looks good, works good, glad you are always on top of it. Without you, this whole thing wouldn't be the same. Thanks for what you do for us.
You have to let me know what you want to use for a title. (Anyone who has more than 1000 posts gets to choose a custom title, but you have to let me know!)
