New Post. SB 2012. GR Solaris? Help Needed.

Pleeeeeease tell me my friend and I did not make the mistake of booking the GR Solaris for Spring Break 2012.

Dates: March 16-23.

I can see that Oasis is cool, but I'm sure that's where the 16-20 crowd will be also. No disrespect to the youngin's that can handle their liquor, however.

BUT, we're looking for a mix. Crazy experience. Party spot. Chill spot. Not far from the Clubs like "The City" and "Senor Frogs".

IS THERE ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE THAT WILL BE STAYING AT THE GR SOLARIS OR NEAR IT? WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?

Either way, I'm sure Cancun will show us a good time!

Oh yeah, we're still in college, so we do want the crazy spring break experience. First time traveling to Cancun as oppose to the usual South Beach Miami Spring Breaks that I've done in the past.

 

Me and my friend will be at the GR Solaris the 22-24th... checking it out.. not sure how close it is to the clubs? Def be a lot nicer then oasis!!

 

The age group at the Oasis is different than what you are thinking, I'm afraid. Sure, there are a bunch of young people there, but there are also people later in their 20's or maybe early 30's partying just like anyone else.

 

Alright, cool. I think I just found something that said it's about 20-30 min bus ride to downtown. I do want to check out downtown and the major clubs. We'll see though...

 

Thanks, man. Even though we have this one booked already, I'm still going to look into more places. As long as the crowd there is partying, I'm cool. lol

 

GR solaris is about a mile from La Isla.. which is not far from the clubs.. honestly, those 10-15 minutes on the bus will fly by.. You def made a good choice... i would *NEVER* stay at the Oasis... ick!

 

Hey hey hey Alicia... I stayed at Oasis Cancun on my very first trip to Cancun... It was pretty nice... I mean it is a hot spot, lots of partying and lots of noise (ie - doors slamming, people yelling, loud music) but I enjoyed it! Jack and I were actually looking to stay there again next month but we didnt want to be so far from the clubs. Not that it is far... 15 min bus ride... But we opted for adult only this time. Don't knock it until you try it!!! Lol

 

Alicia ......you better look at a map again.....lol , GR Solaris is 4 miles from la isla and it's a total of 6 miles from Daddy O / Sweet / the city night clubs. It takes about 20 min from Oasis to the clubs on a bus during spring break and you are even furter away then Oasis......hope you are ready for a 25-30 min bus ride .....LMAO

 

I appreciate everyone's input! Since we've had GR Solaris booked for almost 2 months now, we're sticking with it afterall.

And I just saw that they provide free shuttles every night to the night clubs. I guess getting back may be the hard part...lol.

but it's all-inclusive...I don't see how we can go wrong...lol
