Just saying hi to everyone here. Been living here 3 months getting all the required permits to provide a ferry service to Isla Mujeres from Cancun, 3 years and counting. but almost there. Living at Isla Dorado, kinda pricey but like the security. Again to all wishing you well RL
Getting a car taxed is complicated enough, I cant begin to imagine how complicated starting up a new ferry service would be. Where is the departure point proposed to be? Welcome to the board!
We are not advertising the departure location due to the fact the competition shuts the door on us --- has happened prevously, yes it has been quite a task to get the permits, but we are very close now (600K) down and counting --arggg, but we are determined, it will be located in the hotel zone, we will offer local discounts,Xpats living in Cancun, family discounts, freebottled water, fully airconditioned, hotel conciers ride free. The boat is 70' aluminum in new condition, fully US coast guard approved (which don't mean anything here), Thanks for the reply , will let you know soon its departure location Rudy
Ultramar had huge problems getting it's permits. The Armada and Port Captains couldn't agree on what would be safe routes not interering with the Magana ferries.
Yea I knew about that plus your going against families that have controled the Ferry Business since there has been one.
Hmmm...does that name begin with M, end with a, and the middle rhyme with lagaƱa? If so, I gave class to their kids for a few years.
I'm surprised you can still communicate with people. After 3 years of paperwork chasing here, I'd be in a rubber room right now, playing with my own poo with a stick.
