Hi there! My wife and I just moved to Cancun, and I was wondering if anybody knew of any work available. It can be simply cleaning a house, moving furniture, yardwork, whatever. I just need some extra money for rent for another month, and hopefully a little extra to see some of the local sights. I am intelligent, very able bodied, hard working, a quick learner, and willing to do just about any kind of work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much! Kevin
Good luck Kevin. You might stop by Surfin Burrito, in the Hotel Zone, right across from Sr. Frogs. See if you can talk to Cory. He is getting ready to open a couple more places and I am sure he will need some hard workers.
Sounds like things are going better for him in the HZ, than it did on Av Tulum. Is that the case? That's refreshing! So many people come with a long list of things they will not do, instead of with a willingness to do whatever legitimate work presents itself. Flexibility is key to surviving, here. I'm not doing the work I'd intended to do when I got here, but am enjoying what came along in its place.
V, He did good business in the HZ but my opinion is that too many "officials" kept coming by with their hands out, and it was too much of an uncertainty and a huge hassle. But the food and service were always good and the Tulum location almost always had a good crowd. It was my favorite hang out place and I am sure others shared that opinion. The two new restaurants will be it the plaza where TyCoz is located, in front of the Hotel Presidente Intercontinental. Good luck Cory.
Sounds like a nice location, but how's that going to help with the problem you mentioned, T.J.?, unless you meant it was a problem on Av Tulum, but not in the HZ. ______________________
Princess - Surfin' Burrito is STILL across from Sr Frogs. These are two ADDITIONAL places. V -It must not be as he closed the restaurant on Tulum but is expanding more into the HZ, which I doubt he would do if it were a problem equal to the (alleged) downtown problem.
Yeah it's a bit confusing to be honest TJ, I think what TJ meant was that he was getting hassle on the Tulum location, so he opened the one in the HZ which is doing well, so he is opening 2 more locations, one I think will be by Tycoz TJ mentioned and the other I'm not sure? I don't think he would open 2 restaurants in the same place?
As I understand...Surfin Burrito is doin great. Cory is opening a Padrino's Express by the Tycoz. It will be pizza pasta by delivery. I think he is also opening a sushi place next door to Padrino's. He has just built the woodburning brick pizza oven so hopefully it will oepn soon.
