Hey everyone, So my husband and I will be going to temptations for the 1st time the 1st week of July. Well its a 1st time for a lot of things... 1st time going out of the US on vacay, 1st time going to an adult only... anything, and 1st honeymoon (5 years after being married). needless to say we are a lil worried about all of this trip. I have read some review and they seem to be really good or really bad. So i have to ask... what can we expect? any idea if the drops of love package is worth the money? Should we get a rental car? and last but not least what kind of people can we look forward to meeting? Thank you, mj
Don't rent a car............mexico is not the place to drive.......they are frigging crazy and no need for it. You will meet great people. Go have a good time and talk to everyone. Relax you are about to have the time of your life.
Welcome to the FUN!! Mj_Stroud!! You'll have a blast!! The party is at the Sexy Pool!! You'll meet tons of great people!! Everyone is there to have fun! It's an over 21 resort so the ages you'll meet will start around mid 20s and up!! Mostly couples..some singles. But everyone has fun..
I see your going in July...Find the July Roll Call and put in your dates and start getting to know the great people you'll meet on your visit!! And if you have questions...Just ask!! We are all here to help!!
There is no need to worry. It's all fun. You can sit and watch or enter the games. 8 years ago was our first time and we did not know about this forum, so we went on a friends suggestion. My country bumpkin wife does not want to go anywhere else. You will love it..
Agreed, there's no need to rent a car at all. Public transportation is very cheap, it will get you everywhere and relatively safe. By this I'm referring to the crazy bus drivers, they could sometimes be insane. !! You will meet TONS of absolutely friendly people from all over the world and literally from every state in The States. Since it's your time in Cancun I would recommend visiting at least some of the nearby attractions like Isla Mujeres, Chichen Itza, Xcaret, Tulum, Xel-Ha just to name a few. Please do not pay attention to the over scandalized news reports about Mexico being unsafe. While that might be true in Northern Mexico, Cancun is a very, very safe city. have a blast !! I might run into you. I'll be there for 2 weeks starting June 27.
Thank you everyone, I am looking forward to our trip! and you have helped with me being worried. we want to spend a day or two looking at the sights so thanks for the tips. also I see that temptations has sister resorts can you visit them as well?
i second that..no need for a rental car...hotel row only has one main street..you can catch a bus for a buck....now way to get lost..or a cab for about ten bucks..always negotiate a price before you get in...and when u get out of the airport..same thing there..dont let the guys get your luggage unless u set a price..
As stated above dont try to drive and watch crossing the streets, people drive insane there! And when you leave the airport dont talk to the people just in side the doors as you go outside, just go out side the airport and look for your ride. And dont take the breakfast tour at the resort unless youre interested in buying a time share. Dont be shy, just talk to everybody. Youre going to have a blast!
