We will be there Nov 12th and there is a lot of rain in the forecast. I am so needing the sun! We've had our share of snow, rain, and clouds. How accurate is the forecast usually. Do I dare dream there will be some sun? We do have insurance. Should we use it?
It has been one of the wettest Falls in a few years. We have property in Mahahual and our friends sent pics of alot of flooding and are concerned about bugs as after the last extremely wet fall a few years agomany showed up in early November and they were awful until the real heat hit in December. After the Northerly's were done. Fingers crossed, usually the weather smartens up, evenings can be cool, but the water is still warm, little showers can happen or big, but they are usually surrounded by sun.
forecast I go down every november and the forecast always says rain, but its usually a 5 minute shower, and the rest of the time warm and sunny xxx dont worry xxxartytime:
Just came back, the forcast called for rain everyday in the extended forcarst. we were there for 10 days and got 7 days of sun, 1 day of rain , 1 day of WINDY rain, and 1 monsoon on Nov3rd. e People leaving when we got there ( oct 25th) were whiteys , having gone through 5 days of rain. Tiss the season,, if you want Sun go in April / May , the driest months on average
Ha! I hear ya. We're from MI too and the reason we book most our vacays in the Winter is to get AWAY from snow! The prob with booking in May for us is, the weather is nicer here in May. Who wants to escape then? We'll be there in Dec. One thing I know about Mexico: Half the time it rains, it's over with before you know it and the sun it out and warming up the place within mins. Hope the weather holds out for you!
Where I'm from it's GORGEOUSSSSSS April-Oct so I like to travel Oct-Mar.....leaving March for the spring breakers- I hope the weather cooperates with me! Cmon November rain- stay away for 5 days
A lot more snoogling and pool gets played in the rain, and games in the rooms. There is still a whack of party going on for sure. No worries If you want to get the start of sun, Feb\march april\may for the dry season.
We've been twice in Oct and twice in Feb...never saw a raindrop in Feb (clouds and a little wind) and of the 17 days we've spent in Oct we've had about a day and a half of rain and a lot windier
