Wedding If you could travel anywhere in the country for a quickie wedding, where would you go? When our visa comes through, my fiance and I will have 90 days to marry, and his not having family here and our wanting to have the big ceremony and party in Cancun, we want to go somewhere cool. I don't want to spend a lot of money on a wedding that'd be one-sided (only my peeps), especially while he's going through major culture shock and it sounds really depressing to walk down to City Hall in the town I live in, so we're going to make it special and private, just for the two of us. And whatever witnesses we can grab in the place we choose. Depending on where and other factors, we may just do this in transit from Juarez to New England. What are your ideas? And why? We may be limited to states that don't require a SS# as I can't be sure of the timing in the process of his receiving it. But I'll start with any ideas and then research that further myself! Thanks,
Hey Melissa.......Best Wishes :!: :!: I hear Newport in February is nice    Seriously...Ogunquit Me. is gorgeous with rocky bluffs overlooking the ocean
Battery Park City in NYC at night. Its a charming park right on the hudson with blue colored lights along the paths leading to a gazebo right on the river. Its my favorite place in NYC.
Well, not knowing exactly when you're flying in, I do have warm feelings for San Antonio. Should be warmer there than the New England area and--as I like to describe it--it's a big city (8th largest) with a small-town feel. A large percentage of the population is tejano, and there always seems to be a party going on somewheres in town. Fiesta will begin in about a month and a half, which is a week-long, city-wide party filled with events of all kinds. The Riverwalk provides a romantic setting where you can dance the night away in a club, dine at one of the many restaurants, take a tour in a boat, or stroll in one of the quieter areas with some breaks on one of the benches scattered about for some...kissy-kissy time
Hmmm...would have never thought of San Antonio, but I do like that city. I have no idea when we'd be doing this either, as it all depends on Immigration!
