Just wondering. Does anyone have daughter's in college or high school? What have you told them about where you are going?
Our daughters were/are in college and went there together a couple of years ago. Brought home way too many t-shirts
Our daughter is 18 and she understands that it is an all adult resort and that bathing suit tops are optional. She doesn't ask what we do there and we don't offer any information.
Why do people think they have to have an excuse or explain why they are having a good time. If you're feeling guilty before you go...get over it!
Not feeling guilty at all, can't wait to go and have fun. But there's a reason it's for over 21's. College kids are very impressionable. Besides, I don't want to see my daughter in a "College Girls Gone Wild" video and her thinking it's okay becasue we went to a topless optional place. We will tell her what we are doing with no shame but I was just wondering how others handled it. Thanks for the input and believe me, Iowa, we are over it. Be there in Early December!!!!!!!!!!
We know it's different in America but we really can't undestand why this is an issue. Our daughter's in University and she does what she wants there because she's an adult, not because Lynfa goes topless on holidays (my daughter doesn't go topless). Tammy knows we like to enjoy life just as much as she does but she never asks what we get up to same as we don't ask her what she gets up to. All our children will do what they want as they grow up, same as we all did. As long as they all stay safe, thats what matters.
You are right. I re-read my posts and ask myself: "What was I thinking?". We've always been open with her and let her make her own decisions and mistakes. She's independent and thinks for herself. Not sure why but I wasn't sure what to tell her and figured I'd use the board for other's thoughts. I should have known, she's mad she can't go because she's still in school. Thanks and enough of this serious stuff. Wait, let me re-read my post again before submitting and sticking my foot in my mouth again....okay, it's fine!
In 10 or 15 years your daughter will start telling you about the crap she did that you didn't know about. These conversations tend to start when you have grandchildren over 5. It's funny how many times I have been talking with someone about going to Cancun and they cant remember the name of the resort. When I say we were at BBG or TTR all of a sudden they remember that was the name of the place they stayed. Guess I dont really care what people think anymore. Have Fun
I've been twice and after going twice I realize it's no big deal at all. I am very generic and tell them I am going to cancun. After two visits I am moving on to the next level. I have my first hedo trip plan. Family thinks I am staying at Sandals. I guess you have to go to Temptation to realize its a relaxing, hilarious vacation. I go topless...who cares while several choose not to.... who cares. I think reading some of the day/night activities, being adult only, haveing the name Temptation, and top optional on top of all that gives it a bad rap to outsiders that have never been there. It is a nice resort with a sexy name.
