Does anyone lkow the cost to nationalize a car from the US in Mexico? My wife is a Mexican citizen and has a 2000 VW Jetta that she would like to ship to Cancun when we relocate there. Is there special consideration when a car is 10 years old?

Since your wife is a Mexican Citizen, you won't run into what we did with our nationalized car......

Seems the law had changed in 2008 and few were aware (even our Insurance guy didn't know) that one has to now have an FM2 or be a Citizen in order to register/plate a nationalized vehicle. Of course we found this out after we bought it, LOL. Luckily a dear and long time Mexican friend came through to help us out.
