What a great place, great people and a lot of fun… After being upgraded on the flight there, we arrived at the airport and had no issues with customs other then the handful of people cutting in line to “get with their friends”, but we didn’t let it get to us. We booked a private USA Transfers trip to the hotel. Great service and would recommend to anyone. They were waiting for us, it took two minutes to get the van and we were off. I asked if the driver could stop at a 7-11 so we could pick up a few things and he had no problem with this. We didn’t need the 1 hour Wal-Mart stop. I just gave him a little bigger tip for the stop. We arrived at TTR and had done the express check-in a few days before. They had everything ready for us and got us a drink while they gave us our paperwork. The room was what I expected, a little small, and a little older and not much storage. We knew this coming in thanks to previous trip reports that it was not the Hilton, so it was not a surprise nor am I complaining. We immediately got our suits on and headed to the sexy pool to start to unwind and met people right away. After some swimming and dinner at the buffet we got ready for men’s dress shirt night. Turnout was light, but we met some more new friends got a little tipsy and turned in for the night. I was up at the crack of dawn to put some shirts on the chairs and was ready to head back to bed when I met even more CC members. (We were everywhere!!!) We had an enjoyable day at the pool watching the games and meeting new friends. I am pretty sure it was this day (they all blended together) where we had one weird dude in the pool. He was obviously intoxicated beyond his limit and would just come up and stare. Although maybe harmless, I am guessing enough people complained and he was escorted out. That night was lingerie night. We had fun, didn’t realize that you had to RUN to the tables to get a spot; they could really use a few more. Turnout was pretty good, I would say close to 50 people although some arrived quite late. After that we headed over to Paty-Os and heard that people were being asked to change, so we did before being asked. I didn’t get chairs the next day as we were headed out on the yacht with some other couples right after lunch. We had a spectacular time!! This was one of the only two times we left TTR. After we got back off the boat, we were exhausted from the sun, fun and booze and took a nap. I set my alarm for one hour and we both slept right through it. We ended up around 9 and getting dressed for skimpy dress night and head for some burgers at Paty-Os and had another great time. Next day, more fun at the sexy pool during the day. I think this was the day there was a fight between two girls. We didn’t see it but saw the aftermath where they were both talking to management arguing and holding ice bags. Not sure what happened… This was also the day we think we saw a guy standing in the middle of the pool with a drink and just spinning slowly watching people. We also saw him on the swings doing the same thing. Never saw him talk to anyone, kinda weird… We had a great dinner with friends that night at the seafood restaurant. I was feeling like some Pinot Noir, so I sprung for one that was $300 pesos and I got the lobster tail also, both very good. Never did try any house wine as I heard it was not very good if you are used to drinking better wines. But that is the same everywhere you go… there is a reason they call it the house wine. That night was the pool party and we did end up getting in one of the hot tubs with some friends. Security only came by once to check on us once. More pool and sun the next day… Can you see a pattern? Sexy sports night was a big hit and we had a blast, except pool guy was there again. We had Dale stand between him and my wife (since Dale is a weee bit bigger than me) and they guy was trying to look around Dale… completely creped Jenn out… We encouraged that he move along somewhere else. Dale and Scott, you guys are awesome. The next day was the second time we left the resort and did the zip-line, atv tour through the jungle. Other then the dust, we had a great time and were glad we went. We were back at the resort by about 1, showered, ate lunch and were back by the sexy pool by 2:30 to enjoy the rest of the day. Our last night at TTR was glow night and we brought enough to share. Another great night with new friends! We even took a dip in the ocean around 2 AM… We were tired and cashed in even though I really wanted to party some more, but knew we had to leave in the morning to go home. We said most of our good-bye’s that night and a few more in the morning to those we saw. Security was not bad, but our first trip, I have nothing to compare to, they never gave us any issues. We didn’t get sick, I had a little ache one morning, but Pepto fixed that after an hour. I can only think of one thing I didn’t care for and those were the drinks around the sexy pool during the day were watered down as others have said. I even watched one of the bar tenders add water to my glass. One day I had three big Bacardi and Coke’s and was not even feeling slightly buzzed, so on most days I switched to beer. Gary & jenn..... Russian guy is what I named him! He just stared and stared and at one point started talking to me in Russian. I understood but pretended I didn't lol! Watched him get punched at pool bar by a frustrated guest and finally security made him leave. Other than the time he came up to Greg & I he was my entertainment! A very strange dude!! H
Great report! The "Russian guy" was spotted a few days later, totally sober so I don't think security threw him out of the hotel. Interesting that you were asked to dress after lingerie night - the week before we headed to Paty'O's in our lingerie outfits and stayed there til about 1am - along with several others. Perhaps it was what you were wearing? Our party were in basques, boxers etc - maybe if you were wearing a sock????????
