DAY 7 Woke up early and got ready for the day. Walked to 5th Avenue for breakfast, we decided on Java Joe's. Norb at Java Joe's ... Here's their website ... http://www.javajoes.net/about.html I ordered The Hangover Special, even though I didn't have a hangover. Egg, cheese, tomato, canadian bacon on an English muffin ... yummy! Good food, good prices. Walked back to the hotel, and changed into our swimsuits, and headed to the beach. You can see how close the Playa Palms is to the Gran Porto Real in this picture ... ..... My view for most of the day ..... The Playa Palms doesn't have a restaurant, but right next door are two beach clubs. One is the Blue Parrot, and one is the Coco Maya, here is their website ... http://www.playareservations.com/cocomaya/index.php All day long the waiters walked down the beach and asked if we wanted anything. Here comes MY NEW BEST FRIEND, with our sodas! Is this service or what!?!?!? We didn't even have to get off our butts, the food was delivered right to our lounge chairs. We ordered some guac and salsa and chips. They brought glasses, ice and napkins, and we could run a tab all day long. REALLY good salsa and guac ... we were in HEAVEN! There were some boats on the beach, but the fishermen left early in the morning. They came back in the early afternoon with their catch. Here are 2 barracuda and a hammerjack ... And, vendors passed by during the day, selling jewelry, shells, blankets, etc. Some had their small children running along beside them, or they were carrying their babies on their backs ... We went back to the room to get ready for dinner, and this is what greeted us ... We walked to another of our favorite Playa restaurants for dinner, EL OASIS, and ordered 2 for 1 pina coladas ... Seafood soup ... and their famous shrimp tacos ... DELISH! ... After dinner we walked on 5th Avenue. Every trip I look at the jellyfish gourd lamps, and every trip I swear I'm going to buy one ... but, then I think, "where the heck would I hang it?", and I don't buy any. Here's another Santa in front of a store ... We stopped at the new Dairy Queen ... We sat outside at one of their tables, and enjoyed our strawberry sundaes before going back to the hotel. Tomorrow ... another beach day ... :sunny:
