my makeover starts today

    :D 10 wks out till i set foot on the beaches of cancun and my first drink at Temptation .ive started my makeover and plan to add 2 and a half pounds a week so i can reach my goal of 205 pounds and from what ive read on this board it really don't matter that your not a superstar everyone that goes is out to have fun and don't give a sh@#...
    to be honest knowing i'm booked and ready to have fun at Temptation has made me work harder towards my goal .
    what i would like to know is how was your makeover and did you reach your goals you set when you were going to Temptation?

    2.5 lbs of weight gain a week? I assume you mean 2.5 lbs of lean mass?

    What's your diet gonna consist of, french fries and Krispy Kreme? :)

    I think the most muscle mass you can hope to gain a week, assuming you're doing this without pharmaceuticals, is maybe 0.5 lbs. But it doesn't really work linearly like that, you usually grow in spurts. If you are gaining more than 1lb a week you're gaining fat and/or water weight. Your body just can't build muscle that fast, unless you have very good genetics, are enhanced, were previously very muscular and are now training again, or all of the above.

    Setting goals with #'s in mind, especially if you're trying to put on weight, will only result with you gaining a lot of fat. Take a trip to the supermarket and pick up 25lbs of ground beef; this is what you're expecting to gain, in 10 weeks. Go by what the mirror says, and don't just look at the scale.

    If your goal is to just gain pure weight, regardless if it's fat or muscle, well, that's pretty easy, and more power to ya.

    lol ya it's hard to put on size if your starting from scratch but ive had my mouth wired for the last two month (brken jaw 3 diffrent areas ) and ive leanedout in a huge way so my goal is to eat clean high protein low carbs ....
    ps
    b4 my wired jaw i was a big boy 213 pd bodyfat around 12% if not lower ...
