Just wanted to add a note about the Music at the sexy pool during the day and at night and see what other people think. As a sometime DJ I know you are never going to please all the people all the time or even some of the people lol. First day great new up to date music all party stuff and good fun.... several hours later oh they are playing that song again i surpose people like it oh well have another drink....... several hours later again mmmm ok first day never mind....... back to the get ready and down to Paty O's .... hold on a minute didnt we hear all this music during the day still only first day. Now repeat this everyday for two weeks and i am climbing the walls I love my music its my thing and there is so much out there thats available change it up please please please not the same songs everyday!!!:ranting1: arghhhhhhh. Ask the DJ for something different or offer CD's for something else and been told that he can only play these songs because the management say so. At least on the pool party afternoon he plays other stuff but then next pool party its the same other stuff. Well thats me done and doesnt stop me having fun just means i have to drink more and retreat to my pc in my room and balcony for something else What do others think?
I have to agree. We quit asking for certain songs to be played. We got a different reason each time why they could not play it.
There are lots of threads and many dicussions over the years on here complaining about the music at the sexy pool and at Paty'o..lol It boils down to, they play what they play.. the best place to voice your concern is on the card they give you to fill out on checkout about how your stay was.. thats what they see..
we were there oct 6-13 and there was a french dj from quebec city area that put a real hot night at the paty-o.that night the people that we seen there, new and repet.couples all agree that it was the wildest party they seen that night, the next night he was going to be dj for a night at coco-bongo. for the dj's out there...asked the resort before leaving home to get a try-out
Every time you go they do something different. Last April was good ,,they mixed it up more then usual
Being a DJ for 10 years in my way younger days,, here is how it went,, I would get 300 people on the dance floor then some nice person request a song and you play it for them out of the goodness of your heart ,,, boom your down to 2 people,, then takes you three or four song to get the crowd back,. then you tend to play to fill the dance floor and not requests.
I love music but when I'm at TTR I really don't care I'm having way to much to give a crap if a tracks been repeated lol bring on TTR feb 2013
Fingers crossed they do the same when we go back. Do agree with your other comment about a dance floor and for a one off yes totally right but round the pool and evening day after think that just a lazy DJ
Here's what worked for us: The DJ was playing that unidentifiable electronic stuff at Paty O's, and we had about 10 girls in lingerie who wanted to dance. We walked over to the DJ and said, "If you play something by Pitbull, we'll all start dancing." Then, we just stood there, not moving, while he kept playing his stuff. He finally sent a runner to get a different CD, gave us our Pitbull, and we rushed out and danced in our lingerie, and a bunch of people ran out and joined us. Got our pop/dance music the rest of the night, and the dance floor stayed packed. So, you may need to strip down, gather reinforcements, and then make requests?
dj I have been a dj in bars and clubs in Ibiza for the last 20 years, and of course I have regular playlists of the most popular charts hits and dance floor fillers... but I play to the crowd I have on the dancefloor and do try to play requests as long as the music is suitable for the majority and time of night.. ..........last year I took my computer and a hard drive of over 30,0000 songs with me, when the nice shoes emptied out after the show I asked if I could play some music or if the dj could plug my music playlist into his system..it was compatable because I looked.. there was around 30 people with me and he said no. he put a set crap playlist on and left..hotel policy or unhelpful dj ???what do you think.
