Cancun’s Museo de Arte Popular Mexicano (Mexican Folk Art Museum) is moving to Xcaret, probably some time in January. If you haven't been there go now! Their collection of Mexican arts and crafts is very, very good and the admission is only $55 MXP. Once the museum has moved to Xcaret it will be much more expensive to see it. I guess in some ways it kinda stinks that such a great thing is moving out. But, it will expose more people to it which is always a plus.
I know Jason, the collection is so good that it's a crying shame that people don't see it now. But I, for one, will miss it being here in Cancun.
I think it's a shame how under-promoted it was while in Cancun. I would bet that most people visiting Cancun never knew it was there. I found out about it by searching for art galleries and/or museums in Cancun since we try to hit a gallery or museum in every city we visit. Otherwise...I may have never known about it.
