Mosquitos?

Is mosquito repellant neccesary at night whilst around the bars?

Would hate to arrive without repellant and get chewed on our 1st night.

Many thanks in advance of any replies.

 

We never had a problem in June or August. I've heard some people say they had problems other months. When do you plan on going?

 

I had a couple bights (may 12 - 20), nothing drastic though. I do not recall lots of bugs, or feeling he need to have brought a repellant.

Now mysterious bruises, I hear those happen year round and are a problem so watch out for them.

 

We are there 19th June until 3rd July.

 

Mosquito spray is not necessary at any time. We have been to Cancun in quite a few different months and never once have seen a mosquito.

Little black biting flies around the quiet pool bar around sunset + - about 1 hour in April,,
they come out in a red welt 2 days later. (April)

 

Ive known some ladies who bite and leave a red welt as well!!!

We've never had a problem with mosquitoes at any time, but maybe we're lucky or they are the Texas-sized versions.

 

Good point. There can deff be an issue with bites, it just not from the skeeters!
