Mini TR for you Cancun lovers:

Cancun was DEAD kids, yes, dead. Not ''ooo there wasn't anyone cool so I hung out in my room'' dead. No......I mean DEAD. Dead as in clubs being closed. BUT there is a silver lining: this meant open bar for 10$ (it said 20$ but you could smile and say 10$ and they would nod) at places like Corona bar, Congo, etc. Soooo each night cost about 20$ total with tips.

Highlight: seeing a blonde mexican go-go dancer from Corona fall on the bar while dancing.

Same black dude at Sr Frogs. Only thing was that he entertained a crowd of 30 people, max. They have a new shape type of yard - I strongly advise against it.

It also seemed to me that the beach is getting smaller?

Sometimes the bus was 5 pesos, other times 7. I'm not sure. This little Mexican man shouted at you if you didn't tip him (enough!) after he ''sang'' over his radioTAPE thingy.

    Jetski = good.

Music: Sweet child of mine is a staple. Sexyback seemed to be a ''new'' song. ;-)

    No stolen items.

I am now trying to work out a way to make $ just by exchanging money...their rate of peso VS canadian $ VS US dollar is funky compared to the ''real'' exchange rate....I will work it out in the next few days.

yeah the swine flu, the economy and the drug wars have made it worse, but low season in cancun sucks, last year was bad but i dont think it was as bad as this year...

last year around this dates there was a concert in The City, it was a mexican band and they had the second and third floor closed... and it still looked empty...

but i certainly wouldnt mind being there right now! lol

What does the shape have anything to do with getting you drunk? Unless you are referring to using the yard for other purposes.

Should be 7. I've only heard of them not giving you change back when you overpay, never heard of them letting you get away with it when you underpay.

I seriously doubt that arbitrage opportunity exist. Give me their rates and I can tell you in 30 seconds if there is an opportunity or you are just doing the math wrong.

i remeber the original frogs yards were huuuuge. a couple years ago they made them smaller and now i always get the dreaded air bubble at the end and i end up spilling shit on myself lol, maybe the yards are now even more f'ed up

chaz: did you get to talk to the ''doctor'' at the airport when coming in? (they gave him a white lab coat so that makes him a doctor)

I asked him if he checked people as they LEAVE Mexico (for obvious reasons); he wasn't amused.

@ henry - I swear the driver said 5 pesos the first time I took it! It was even one that had air con!

Ok, math whizz, so, right now the canadian dollar is almost at par with the american one (97, almost 98 cents to the dollar). In Mexico, 1 canadian dollar gave you 10 pesos. 1 american dollar gave you 13 pesos. I've seen 14 at one place, but it might have been a commission one or a stupid timeshare gimmick I can't remember). The only potential pitfall is the rate one would give you to change those damn pesos into either CAN or USD. I'm sure there's a way.

as for the frog's glass, bah, it just looked plain gross to me AND a real yard contained more libations. it was win win. :-|

Well, you have to buy at ask price and sell at bid (sometimes called offer) price. Using estimated mid price (like the onces you gave in your post) is pointless.

As for the way to do, the order you exchange from currency to currency doesn't really matter since multiplication is commutative (ie A*B=B*A). It's only important thing is that you use the ask rate when you buy and bid rate when you sell.

    So basically, if

Peso per USD ask rate / Peso per CAD bid rate / CAD per USD ask rate > 1

, then there is an arbitrage opportunity. Again, you need to use the exact bid and ask rate when plugging into the formula, otherwise, the result means nothing.
