Ok, we were there for 11 days, so I apologize in advance. This will be long. I'll try to keep it as concise as possible! We had an amazing time! I'll have some specific notes at the bottom if you want to skip the days...

Day 1: Sunday (afternoon and evening): Transfer from airport easy and fast. We arranged for transfer through the resort, so we walked out and there was the guy holding a card with our names on it. Private shuttle to and from the resort, and not any more expensive than getting transportation from the yellers/sellers in the airport. Got to the resort, check-in at the member desk was a breeze, up to the room. Very nice room, view of the ocean and the sexy pool. Only downside was it was on the 4TH FLOOR! Heck of a walk up when drunk! Pool was great, lots of energy, just like we remembered! Met Marian and Roy from the Yahoo group we set up a couple months before our trip. Very fun couple! Dinner at the buffet, not really inspiring, but decent. Couples contest at Nice shoes. If you want to win, you need to be funny, or really crazy! Closed down the disco after that with Marian and Roy, Kristi even got Oliver the bartender to get a DJ there to play some better music so she could dance! I was so proud of my sweetie for not crashing at 9pm after no sleep the night before!

Day 2: Monday. Dropped towels on the chairs (more on towels later), and went to go work out. Kinda hard to find the gym, we actually had to ask directions! Gym is fine, has all the basics. Spent the day at the pool. Very hot! Met more fun people from Cancun Care, from our Yahoo group, and other TTR guests. After a nap (very important!), dinner at Margarita's. Food there was so-so. Kinda limited, and not great. I had a rib-eye that did not remotely look like a rib-eye! lol! Not bad for lunch, but by the end of our trip we were even doing lunch at the buffet instead of Margarita's. More variety at the buffet, faster service, and less crowded. Went to Coco Bongo that night with the resort entertainment staff. Amazing show! A must see at least once! However, it's not really a dance club, and Kristi really wanted to dance, so the next thing I know she's up in the cage above the crowd dancing between acts! I wish I had brought the camera! If anyone was there on Monday, June 21, and remember a sexy asian lady dancing with a blonde center stage in the cage above the crowd, please send us a pic! :icon_biggrin:

Day 3: Tuesday. Another hot day by the pool. Sweating as soon as I sat down. Beach volleyball. Daring Darts contest..beware! Dinner at Il Piacere (italian restaurant). The food and ambiance were amazing! Definitely our favorite restaurant at the resort! Ordered off the "short menu" for members and ordered a decent bottle of wine. Fire show at Paty O's, very cool! A few ladies from our yahoo group dressed up in school girl outfits this night, including my sweetie! Got lots of stares at Paty O's, so once again went to Nice Shoes, managed to get a DJ put on a decent mix, and the girls danced the night away! Victor the bartender got a infatuated with Kristi that night! Lol! Skinny dipping in the ocean with friends...it's where Kristi got her rash....more later...

Day 4: Wednesday. Pole dancing lessons for Kristi. Made a new friend with Kristen, one of the other ladies taking lessons with her. Tried to get Kristi to do the Miss Temptation contest, but due to her profession, she was too concerned about online postings to do it. Vote for Vanesa! Dinner at Bellavista with Marian and Roy. Our second favorite restaurant at the resort! Not quite the same ambiance, but the food was great! Another theme night from our group...this time sheer...and jello shots! Show at Nice Shoes was called the Main Event (basically strippers). Both male and female. Equal opportunity and all!

Day 5: Thursday. Starts to rain off and on. Kristi's rash spreads. Little concerned. Think it's heat rash (it's not). Cloudy, but actually nice with the sun obscured. Love watching the contests by the sexy pool! Dinner with gothedistance at Village Wok. Food and ambiance is good, but not our favorite. Order the Mayan coffee at either Village Wok or Il Piacere! Quite a show for coffee! Late to lingerie night at Nice shoes. Kristi still makes it into the contest, but get eliminated after the 1st round (robbed! :icon_biggrin:) Girls show off their skills on the stripper pole and in the cages. Need to better police the perves with their cameras....Toy exchange after lingerie night. Tried to avoid the crowd at Paty O's by doing it in the Cigar Lounge, which was empty EVERY night...except this night! By accident, we crashed a private party! They were nice enough to let us (5 couples) take over a small corner to have our fun. Kristi of course made some new friends...and Victor the Bartender was there! After the previous Tuesday (school girl outfits), he always seems to show up wherever we are! lol!

Day 6: Friday. Little bit by the pool. Rash spreading more...more concerned. Googled it. From description looks like "sea lice". Kristi talks to Guest Services. They immediately change all bedding in the room and give her some basic first aid, recommend calling a doctor. Rented the yacht with friends from the stripper pole lessons. Very choppy heading over to Isla Mujeres, but calm once we're there. I missed Naked Tequila Volleyball, but the yacht was very fun! Dinner at Village Wok with sexycats, and then off to The City with the Entertainment Crew. The place is HUGE! Word of advice, if you don't want to drink the stuff at the tables, you don't have to. The bracelets get you free drinks at the bars.

Day 7, 8, & 9: Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Downpour. Small Tropical Storm hits. Rash is worse, finally call the doctor. He gives Kristi a shot and a prescription. Hotel staff is wonderful. They fill the prescription for her and we pick it up in the hotel. Spend Saturday watching movies in the room (not on channel 12 you perverts! :69: Although that was used as kindling a few afternoons! lol). Oddly enough, the downpour doesn't really deter people from the sexy pool! Dinner at Il Piacere (again), Bellavista (again), and the buffet, dancing at Nice Shoes all nights and skinny dipping in the quiet pool with 2 other couples we've been hanging out with (Saturday). After the shot, Kristi's rash is almost gone by Monday morning. Weather gets better by Monday too. Starting to hit the wall....not as young as we used to be. :icon_wink:

Day 10: Tuesday. Last full day. Weather is beautiful. Meet some more people from the yahoo group (Really a great way to get to know people. Would highly recommend it). Time went too fast. Beach volleyball one more time, I didn't embarrass myself too much playing. Dinner with 4 other couples at Il Piacere, dancing at Paty O's, wished it could have lasted longer....

Day 11: Wednesday. Pack. Breakfast. Check out. Shuttle to airport. Took a few pics before we left of the resort and with some of the staff we came to love while there. Can't wait to go back.

    Notes:
    - Towels. Since we are members, we didn't really run into this problem, but lots of people we talked to had their towels stolen by other guests. Basically, you check out towels, you return them by 7pm (or you have to go to the front desk to fix it), and if you can't return them you get charged $25 per towel. Now, we think a lot of "stolen towels" stems from the hotel not fully explaining the "towel policy" when you check in. It may be naive, but we think 80% of it is newbies coming down, seeing towels on chairs, and thinking they are just there for anyone to use. The policy needs to be fully explained when they check in. Our advice, put some inexpensive personal items down on your chairs along with the towels instead of JUST the red towels that EVERYONE else will have. Or, as a few couples we saw did, put down your own beach towels or t-shirts to save the chairs, and then get your towels when you go to the pool. It will save you a lot of problems.

    - Cameras. Too many idiots with cameras. The motto at the resort is, "nobody knows you, nobody gives a sh*t." However, this attitude kinda falls short when you have numerous single jag-offs or old perverts taking pictures all the time. I can hear you all saying now, "well, then don't participate". Well, my response to that would be that people come to TTR to let loose and have fun, and they can't do that when these...people...are snapping pics all over the place. I'm not saying ban cameras. That's unrealistic. If you are participating in crazy contests by the sexy pool, I think you have to assume your picture will be taken, especially if you are female. HOWEVER, if it is a resort theme night, like lingerie night at Nice Shoes, NO CAMERAS of any kind should be allowed in Nice Shoes the entire night. At all. Period. And there should be security there to ensure idiots are not taking pics. People should feel free to let loose and have fun without worrying some jag-off will take pics and post them somewhere. That's my two-cents. Understand, this is a small minority of people who are constantly taking pics. But they ruin it for everyone else. If you are one of those people...have some respect and courtesy for others please....

    - The staff. They are wonderful. Attentive, friendly, always asking if you need anything. The young kid who served us almost every morning at the buffet for breakfast took notice of what drinks we got, and by the 3rd morning, he would see us, get us a table, and by the time we got there with food, all our drinks were there (coffee, oj, and the jugo verde). And this is indicative of ALL the staff there. The bartenders got to know us, and if they saw me walking towards the bar, by the time I got there 2 drinks were waiting for me. They are the best. Tip them well.

    - Theme nights. Keep them simple. Make it something that will blend in to the rest of the crowd. We started a Yahoo group and we had some theme nights planned, but if they are too outgoing, most people won't do them. A costume night won't work unless you have a really close knit group going together. We had 4 ladies dress up for school girl night. Don't get me wrong, they were all sexy and we had a great time, but it makes it tough. Beads and boas night....nada. The basics will be hard enough....black and white, red dress, etc...and toy exchanges....good in theory...and we had great fun with our small group, but again..unless it's close knit, don't expect a lot of participation....

Ok, sorry this reads like a novel. We had a great time at TTR. It was so much fun. Any negatives we have are minor quibbles at most. We hope you have a blast whenever you go. And to those who joined our Yahoo group, we're sorry if we missed you, we tried to meet and talk to everyone we could. We had the best of intentions, but once we got there, it got really hard to remember and recognize all of you!

Lastly, here are our top 11 memories from TTR...because we couldn't limit it to only 10!

    11. The more "noticeable" guests! (Fabio, the drunk European guy who peed his bed, the naked dancing guy around the pool, and more!)
    10. Kristi getting a couple of "German" guests (that's for you Roy and Marian!) to do body shots off each other at Nice Shoes!
    9. Skinny dipping while security stood there watching!
    8. Dave winning Mr. Temptations!
    7. The ladies in their school girl outfits!
    6. Kristi, Ellie and Kristen taking stripper pole lessons
    5. The ladies (too many to name) doing body shots at the sexy pool bar!
    4. Accidently crashing a private party at the cigar lounge!
    3. Taking out the yacht
    2. Dinner with friends, both new and old
    1. Kristi & Ellie dancing in the cage above the crowd at Coco Bongo!

    See you next year!
    Mike and Kristi

Awesome TR... detail is great and love the David Letterman like ended.... I would be curious about the belief on how the sea lice came about. Did y'all go deep into the ocean water? Accidentally get into the seaweed in the ocean? or just don't know and don't want try to guess?

Thanks for the TR. Too bad about the rash as it sounds like a pain.

Glad to see the yacht is back in service!

Great TR. We bought a bottle of Safe Sea to hopefully prevent Sea Lice, as we plan on going to the beach a few times. I heard about this a while back and bought the precautionary bottle a couple of weeks ago. That's my advice to anyone.....buy a bottle of Safe Sea. Its the only thing I know of to help prevent it. I also read that if you get a rash for sea lice that peroxide will help it. Just FYI

Anyway, we go in two weeks and reading these TR have been very helpful! Thanks!

We were swimming in the shallow ocean right in front of the resort. There are patches of seaweed, but nothing really bad. We came to the conclusion about sea lice from googling her symptoms and Cancun and after talking to Guest Services. Also, other guests saw small jellyfish in the ocean on the beach, and since the sea lice are basically tiny jellyfish (or jellyfish larvae), we kinda took an educated guess. In the end it didn't really matter, as the doctor said her rash was an allergic reaction, and no matter what caused it, it would be treated the same way. No one else we met had this same problem, so it just might be that Kristi is slightly allergic to their stings. I'm sure you'll be ok to swim in the ocean. However, as another person on this thread posted, if you are prone to rashes I would suggest getting a bottle of the Sea Safe. It can only be purchased online, but from what we've heard, it works very well. That will be on our list the next time we head down!

What would you say the hotel capacity was? My husband thinks it will be slow because its Cancun's off season, but I tell him it will still be busy. We're going in two weeks, so I'm curious.
