La salida será en el Palacio Municipal y la meta en el parque de las Américas, conoce la ruta del maratón de Mérida. Además de la prueba de los 42.195 Kilómetros, se realizarán carrera atléticas familiares de 10 Km, 5 Km y 2 Km. I agree with Michael, knowing more about what there is to do and see, nearby Cancun, is always a good thing, and enhances the quality of life we can enjoy here. If we'd known about the running event in Merida sooner, and that it included races of distances less than marathon and half-marathon, we might have gone over for the weekend, and participated in the 5K.
If you want to volunteer to work the marathon, there will be a meeting tomorrow at noon with LEF SERGIO ALFEREZ, EL SABADO 09 DE ENERO, EN EL PALACIO MUNICIPAL, A LAS 12:00 HRS. (C. 62 X 63 Y 61 ). Also, they will have a 2K, a 5K and a 10K. I think I'm going to run the 10K and then work a first aid station for the marathon. Oh, I forgot, you can sign up for the races an hour before they leave (6am for marathon, 7am for 10K, rest is at the website) and the cost is $100 for the marathon and $10 for the 10K!!! OMG, what an AMAZING race - especially for the $10 fee! For that amount of money (what? like 0.80USD?) I totally expected no support, no aid stations, I wasn't sure if the course would even be marked, etc. Instead...we had a wonderfully supported race!
