I just thought I'd ask, since there has been talk and rumors for the past 3 years of the Mexican Gov't essentially doing away with the menaje de casa, or at least eliminating the 6 month time frame in which one could apply for one. I have had an FM-3 for 4 years, so a menaje is out of the question. But I do have a houseful of furniture that I almost bought FOR Mexico, before I even knew about a menaje or any of its limitations. I sure would like to move it to Cancun, but if there's no way around doing this without a menaje, I guess I should look into ways of selling this stuff. So if anyone has any experience concerning shipping their household items from Florida to Cancun without a menaje de casa, I'd sure like to hear about it.
