Just got this from Premier...but many of us already knew of this situation. Where did the info come from?
    Dear Premier Member:

We are glad to take this opportunity to say hi, we sincerely hope you all are doing fine.

As you already know, your security is our overriding concern,
so we want you to know that it has been brought to our attention that "companies" are contacting members from our database with the false pretense of renting their weeks or
buying the membership. This is a quite elaborate scam so we want you to be aware of,
since these people sound very professional and you might get tricked into their lies.

Therefore if anyone you have not given your information to, contacts you and offers to buy/rent your weeks or membership, it's very likely that you are dealing with this
    group of scammers.

If you need further information please contact us at:

    customerservice@originalresorts.com

    Thank you for your time,

    Premier by Original Resorts

I called the Premiere office this morning to pay for our referral week and they had a long message about privacy and how hard they work to safeguard ours. All before you even got a menu. I assumed it was in response to the membership buying scams. We are seriously considering purchasing a membership but the apparent lack of data security has me questioning the wisdom of doing so.

I personally think it is Premier that has been hacked...

There are definitely some attempted scams going on where companies phone and offer silly money to buy your membership - the scam part seems to be they ask for legal fees upfront and then you never hear from them again. I haven't heard of anyone who has fell for it yet fortunately. But I guess some do otherwise these scam companies wouldnt exist.

Not sure how they got Premier buyers information - there's only really 3 possible scenarios:

    - database was hacked
    - details were stolen by someone and sold on unbeknown to Premier
    - details were sold on consciously

I just noticed one of these calls today that I missed on my phone. In general though unless a company offered me money, with no upfront costs to me I wouldn't be willing to listen.

for anyone the advice of give is, of it sounds too good to be true... It is.
