Well by examole if you book to oasis cancun and you'll like to pass the night at other resort You'll need to pay! I went to oasis palm and to fo to oasis cancun was 40$/night per person but that's was 3 years ago! So with the new concept of GOV i'm oretty sure will be more than that!! Jess please don't try and answer questions based on previous visits otherwise we will go off track. I'm going to be asking these questions in 2 days time direct to the guy that knows
Nightly entertainment, DJ and if there is dancing every night and if so to what time. Anyone who knows me, knows if music is playing then I am dancing.
Steve....How about pool times...24 hr pool? Also pool chair reserving...is there a policy or is it hang a shirt the night before like TTR?
Ok, I can appreciate the fact that this is the way it is NOW, but I want to know what it will look like going forward, after the changeover...just like the 1:00 am bar closing time. I kinda get the feeling that you have already dismissed GOV despite the fact that its not even open yet under the new brand. To be honest, I still haven't figured out your angle yet, but here's mine. We have been to Desire about 16 or 17 times, since back in 2004. We have seen the price go from in the $200 range, to now more than $600 CAD for the same garden view room that we've normally paid half that much for. We feel like our loyalty means nothing and this kind of price point for the product we are receiving in return is a joke, to put it kindly. From what people are saying here, the same is happening at TTR. How about back in 2006, when all of us on the west coast were excited to see Desire Cabo open, only to nearly crap ourselves to see an opening rack rate of $685 USD per night. The ripoff pricing is my firm belief as to why the resort never gained any traction, and by the time they changed concepts, and changed it back, and lowered the price, it was too late. All that I'm saying is that the folks at GOV deserve a chance. They are venturing into a market segment that most companies would choose to avoid altogether. Our options are not exactly plentiful. For that, I think it would be fair to give GOV a moment of our time.
