Meeting people from the forum in PERSON are they like what you expect or differant??

Curious what experiences you have, haven't really 'connected' with anyone here yet, but i am aware of some that will be at TTR when we will be ---via the ROLL CALL. My first impression so far that most everyone on this board is very helpful and friendly. Have been on other forums before and had good times when people met up. I can only see people being even more down to earth in person (after a few drinks). I think it is great that this forum has been set-up PROPS to Steve. Very unique to have such a place to discuss your vacation plans when researching it (invaluable) any question I have had has been answered and quickly.

Did people look/act how you envisioned them to be etc??
any intersting experiences when meeting up - awkwardness etc... Hey this is POSTERNAME __________,


Other feedback--This board is way busier than I ever thought as well considering it's just about a resort.

 

My experiences have always been very positive. People i've met one here first ended up being great friends with once we met in person

I have had a great experirence as well with the people I met on here when I meet them in person. Always a great source of infromation and you are right PROP to Steve for sure ...Steve and his wife are two fantastic people and we are priviledged to have met them. We have met some of the greatest people in the world from this site and from our trips to TTR. The best part is we get to keep seeing them and staying in touch as well as meeting new people and letting them know what this forum has to offer. ...... Only problem with this forum is I cant be at TTR 365 days a year to meet everyone.

 

In my time on the board and meeting them in person..I find they are the same..All great people and lots of fun..The board is just a start to new found friendship...:aktion033:

 

Our experiences have been excellent every year. People have always been amazing and friendly and great great fun. No one gets on with everyone 100% but even the people we haven't wanted to socialize with have been very nice but if we don't feel comfy with people we're not going to pretend.
We're so looking forward to meeting everyone in May and see if what we think people will be like is right or not xxx

 

We've had nothing but fantastic experiences with the people we've met through this forum. We've become lifelong friends with some of them, even though we live 1000s of miles away from most of them.

It's amazing how many people will yell my name at the resort, recognizing us from this forum. People that we don't recognize will come up and introduce themselves, having seen us here. It's a fantastic way to make new friends!

 

We would agree...met a great group of people (6 couples) on the forum last year when we went to TTR Cabo and got along with all of them...obviously you're going to click with some more than others but we had fun with them all...the best part is you meet even more people at the resort that aren't on/don't know about this forum. In the end it's your own fault if you can't find like minded people to hang out with and have fun at a resort like this...

Almost at the "less than two weeks" point...my liver is getting that "oh ohh" :blueshock: feeling as we speak!

 

Totally agree about the folks from the board always have been fun to meet and hang with. As a added benefit, it helps to know some names and faces. Meeting a group of 30 or so people is overwhelming as far as remembering names. Learning some names and faces before a trip makes it a lot easier. Also, going at about the same time (or times) each year helps as you remember people from years past. The Booze Cruises that Steve organizes are also awesome, a whole bunch of like minded rowdies from the board all on a boat drinking and letting loose for the day; what's not to like?

 

We have met lots of people from hear and had great times with all of them. Some you will really click with and others you will visit and say hi and maybe play volleyball or horseshoes with them. It's always been an absolutely wonderful experience.

 

We have met lots of people from the board and the resort (and Jamaica too G/M et al); all of them are wonderful people. Have made some life long friends. Thank you to all that we have met and will hopefully meet

TTR people ROCK!!! Will miss all of you this spring as we are doing Jamaica again...hopefully Labour Day will pan out for us.
