First Timers to TTR - 5/2-5/7 (Mayhem) This was our first trip to TTR that we began planning months and months ago. Thankfully we stumbled upon CCC around the same time, which gave us a good idea of what to expect at TTR. The website and peoples’ input both really helped us to prepare for our trip. Our flights were on time and we got into Cancun smoothly. We made a quick stop through customs after pressing the red button, which was more of a formality than anything. We headed outside and quickly met up with our USA Transfers shuttle, which took us straight to the resort. Looking back on our trip, the worst part happened right at the start, when we were told we needed to sit down with the concierge before we could get our room key. After putting up with his deal for about ten minutes (stating several times that we were tired and wanted to go to our room) we began a more direct approach and stated we were familiar with the resort and would like to go to our room now. His talk escalated and he kept trying to talk us into scheduling a breakfast the next morning. When we again said we were not interested and just wanted to get settled into our room, he went so far as to ask “What’s your problem?” At this point, things got a lot more direct when we finally told him to schedule us for the 8:30 a.m. breakfast, but to understand we would not show up. He finally got the point and we got up and walked to the front desk and got our room key. We asked the bellman where our room was located, he told us it was overlooking the road, and would be noisy. We ask him for something a little quieter and he took it upon himself to ask the front desk for a better room for us. We were moved to the first floor of the 5000 bldg and we were very happy with our room. It wasn’t noisy but was close enough to the sexy pool and the hammocks. We dropped our bags and headed to the sexy pool for our first drink at TTR. It was a great time of day to take in the sights – about 6:00 p.m. and the party had been going all day. It gave us a good idea of what was to come. A little while later we met up with Rob (Reddog) who was a fantastic host, welcomed us and began the introductions to the Mayhem group. Later that night we enjoyed glow night and perverted t-shirt night (anyone up for a “Free Mustache Ride???”) with the group at Patty O’s. We met more of the Mayhemers throughout the night and had our first of many Patty O’s burger at about 2:00 a.m. Then it was off to bed in anticipation of the rainbow Boobs Cruise the next morning. The rainbow Boobs Cruise was an awesome way for us to get comfortable with the group and gave us a great idea of what was in store for us at TTR. Omar did a great job of keeping the party going and the ride back from Isla Mujeres was one we won’t soon forget. We crossed many firsts off of our list that day, especially after the cans of alcohol whipped cream showed up. We were told that this was a “tame” Boobs Cruise and can’t wait to see a “less tame” cruise. We got back to TTR, enjoyed more fun in the sexy pool, and grabbed a bite to eat before heading back to the room to get ready for lingerie night. The casino portion of lingerie night was so-so, but once the party moved over to Patty O’s, it was great. You can’t beat partying with sexy people in their underwear. The next day was spent mainly at the pool getting to know our new friends better and enjoying the relaxing and sexy atmosphere of TTR. We headed out of the resort that evening, met the “unfriendliest clown in the world” at Carlos & Charlie’s (thanks, Drew) and then headed to Slices where everyone danced their asses off in celebration of Pauly’s birthday. After that we headed back to TTR for white night and more fun. The next day started out more mellow again at the pool, until Pauly started the body shots at the swim-up bar, and the whipped cream made another appearance. We had an incredible dinner on the beach that evening – both the dinner and the company were fantastic. The resort put on a good show near the sports pool with professional dancers, which was a fun change of pace. Ended the night at PatyO’s with our usual 2:30 a.m. burger. Sunday was a day for us to catch our breath a bit. After saying goodbye to some friends, we did a little shopping at the “Flea market” near the clubs downtown. Thanks to CCC and other trip reports, we were prepared for the verbal barrage by the merchants and the hardcore bartering. We ended up with some great deals, but left feeling wiped out. We got back to the resort and hung out at the sexy pool for the rest of the day and soaked up our last evening at the pool. We had dinner with another group of friends at the Italian restaurant that night. We enjoyed our first sexy coffees, which is an absolute must for anyone having dinner there. We had a blast at Patty O’s again, where the mustaches made another brief yet memorable appearance (Les, those were the sexiest eyebrows we’ve ever seen!). Sadly we enjoyed our last Patty O’s burger of the trip at about 2:30 a.m. Monday we packed up and headed out after saying goodbye to more good friends, and left the resort with these final thoughts: 1) The resort itself - we thought it was great. It isn’t a 5-star resort, but the room was clean, the A/C worked, no problems with anything at all. The grounds were very well-kept, staff was very attentive and accommodating. We are not high maintenance people and if you are the same, you will enjoy the resort. 2) Food – we thought the food was good. There were a lot of choices at the buffet and we enjoyed both the Asian and Italian restaurants, with a slight edge to the Italian. The reservation system was a little weird, but a simple enough hoop to jump through. Would recommend dinner on the beach on Saturday despite the added expense. 3) Boobs cruise – well-organized by Steve and a fun filled day. Luckily we had absolutely perfect weather. The crew on the boat do a great job ensuring you always have a drink in hand. The stop on Isla Mujeres was great and we are looking forward to exploring the island more. Overall, we had a blast and are looking forward to our next one! 4) The people - as stated in many trip reports before, the best part of our trip were the people we met and the friendships that developed. Rob (Reddog) and Ron and Melissa, thanks for reaching out to us prior to us getting to TTR and for all of the introductions you all made for us. We had so much fun finally meeting you guys and hanging out at TTR. To our fellow Californians, Aaron & Martha and Rick & Jessica, thanks for the great memories and we’re looking forward to seeing you all soon. Drew & Andrea, were making you honorary Californians and including you with this bunch. We won’t tell anyone from Boston. Sorry we didn’t get to say goodbye. To our other Boston/East Coast pals, Melissa, Pauline and Carole, we had a blast getting to know each of you and consider ourselves “Phuckers” at heart. You guys are the "Bestess!" Paul & Liz, we haven’t watched the “zoo” movie yet but will let you know when we do. (Ryan promises he won’t cry) Thanks for all the laughs! Terry & Kat, thanks so much for making us feel incredibly comfortable at TTR. You were both so easy to hand out with and talk to. John & Kelly, thanks for all the laughs. Derek & Jimmie, we wish we would have had more time to hang out! I’m working on getting Ryan to become a Rangers fan… ☺ James & Leann, you’re good peeps and we look forward to hanging out with you guys again. Les & Lynfa, I still don’t understand most of what Les was saying, but you guys are awesome. And to Jaime, the Mayor of Temptation, thanks for the introductions to get our whole trip started. There are so many other wonderful people we met and chatted with throughout our stay. We apologize for not remembering everyone’s names, but you all played a part in making our trip so great. It’s the people that make TTR what it is. Finally, will we be back? ABSOLUTELY! Now who’s coming with us?

Hey guys - it was so nice getting a chance to hang out with both of you! We had an absolute blast with the MAYhem crew (again)! Everyone is so amazingly friendly! Drew is still having nightmare about the clown! Hehehe If being an honorary Cali couple means we are anything like you and our BFF's from So Cal, then we are truly honored!
