Please note that for cruises May 3rd onwards we will be switching to our summer schedule, which is 30 mins later than our winter one. Check in will be at 10am, the boat leaves about 10:30am and we are back around 5:15pm This avoids congestion at the dock in the morning and also gives everyone an extra half hour sleep.
We're planning to run cruises on the following dates in May: Saturday 3rd May - Deposits open here Wednesday 7th May - Deposits open here Sunday 11th May - Sold Out Tuesday 13th May - Deposits open here Thursday 15th May - Sold Out Monday 19th May - Sold Out Thursday 22nd May - Cancelled Sunday 25th May - Deposits open here Friday 30th May - Deposits open here Each cruise will usually open up for deposits one month before. So 3rd May will open for deposits on 3rd April etc. etc. Each time a cruise opens a sign up thread will be posted and I'll link to it from here and from the roll call. Each cruise will need 25 deposits paid to reach confirmed status, and the maximum for each cruise is 70. If we don't reach confirmed status one week before the proposed date, then all deposits are refunded and the cruise is cancelled. Rationale for cruise dates May is always a busy month and 2014 is looking even busier than last year. I am finding that it doesn't matter how many cruise dates we put on almost all either sell out or run close to capacity. Early and end of May is a little quieter than the middle of the month so we wont run quite so often at the start and end of the month. From the 11th through the 15th we have over 150 people at the hotel every day so will run every other day during this period. I assess the numbers from the May roll call and various other threads and they don't take account of: - people who didn't add their dates to the roll call - new people who join between now and the cruise date - people who want to do more than one cruise - couples who are also bringing friends (have been counted as two) - folks staying at GOV, Desire or other hotels in Cancun - people who predominantly hang out at the Cancuncare/TTR Facebook group - people who book via our cancunboobsruise.com website - email requests from people who don't publicly post anywhere. So, it follows that the numbers listed are probably a large underestimate of the actual number of people who will be at the hotel in May that have a connection with cancuncare in one way or another. Obviously, not everyone will want to do a cruise but many will so we are putting on 9 cruises in one month to avoid sell outs and to suit as many peoples dates as possible. Lets see how interest in the dates above go, we may have to make tweaks as time progresses depending on feedback.
