hello all, We will be there, 5/30-6/3 and I had a question regarding massages while at TTR, to get or not to get at the resort? And if not at the resort can someone recommend maybe some cheaper prices with vendors on the beach? Also, is the couples massage, really worth the price?:umbrella1:
The massages at the resort have been wonderful in the past. I would recommend them. ALSO, you might try a couples massage exchange with a couple that you befriend at TTR. Men one afternoon before dinner, ladies another day. We did that twice on or last trip. Have the ladies set the "limits" and enjoy!
If you're looking for a "regular" message I highly recommend having it done on the beach. First its WAY cheaper than at the resort ($40/hr), second you're right on the beach! You can hear the water, nature....its awesome, we went a few times last trip. If you're looking for a "happier" message I've heard only good thing about the ones at the resort. We have been twice and each time have walked down the beach (to the left when facing the ocean). There is a massage table set up by the ocean with great massages given by some locals. It was around $20 for 30 minutes.
Just got a massage there, on the beach, yesterday. Nothing like the breeze, sound of music coming in from the near by bar (cantina) and the sound of the ocean. It was $45 for the hour. Well worth it. I was like buttah when she was done. Its past the docks and the next resort. Two tables side by side with a big Massage sign above right on the beach.
Just don't go looking for the ''blue tent'' beach massages before 10:30am as they seem to not set up until about 11:15am some mornings. Still well worth it and way cheaper than the hotel.
We had the sensual couples massage the last time we were there. It's about $180.00 U.S. it was fun and something different. We enjoyed it. It's what you make it.
