Here is an interesting question for married couples. Even if you are not married, would like your opinion.

Should husband and wife have seperate bank accounts?

Comments, opinions, questions, love to hear them all.

Depends.

When I lived with the ex's we'd have a seperate account in joint names for all the household bills and savings then our own accounts for wages payed into ( then a transfer to the joint account for said bills ) and our own money as it were.

Used to work ok.

No I think everything should be put into one account and paid by that....I think when you are married 2 become one in many ways and how do you decide who pays for what :?:

Rule of thumb:

Never subsidize someone else's life (and vice versa)

I agree with the first part...

...but if you can get away with the second part, all the power to you...
