March Boobs Cruise Dates Announcement

Boobs Cruise dates for March will be:

Wednesday 6th March
Tuesday 12th March
Sunday 17th March (St Patricks Day)
Friday 22nd March
Wednesday 27th March

Each cruise will open up for deposits one month before. So 6th March will open for deposits on or around 6th Feb etc. Each time a cruise opens a sign up thread will be posted and I'll link to it from here and from the roll call. Each cruise will need 25 deposits paid to reach confirmed status, and the maximum for each cruise is 60. If we don't reach confirmed status one week before the proposed date, then all deposits are refunded and the cruise is cancelled.

If you're planning on attending a cruise then please make a quick post below letting me know which date and how many people (this is not binding). When each cruise opens for deposits I'll send you a PM to let you know.

Rationale

March gets off to a little bit of a slow start for us with only around 30 forum members for the last few days of Feb and first few days of March. Therefore we are unlikely to get the numbers to run a cruise between the last one in Feb (25th) and March 6th. Sorry!

The 11th was proposed in the roll call as a preferred date by many but by moving it to the 12th we will be able to include the 6 or so people who arrive on the 11th but leave on or before the 17th. It will also help boost the numbers for the 6th a little as if the 12th is too late in your trip then the 6th will probably work well instead.

The 17th (St Patricks Day) was also a proposed date and we'll go with this as suggested.

The 26th was a popular date but I think this may have sold out and left some people disappointed, had it been the only other date in March. Instead I think moving it to the 27th and adding an extra date on the 22nd will help spread the numbers and cater for those who arrive after the 17th and leave before the 27th.

5 cruises for March is quite ambitious, last year we only ran 3, some of those were full and I know that not everyone likes to be on a full boat. Sell outs are also not good for those who miss out, so hopefully we'll avoid that this time around by running more often. This also leaves capacity for new people who find the forum between now and when we run in 5 - 8 weeks time.

Inevitably there will be some folks who fall between the cracks where none of the dates work. Sorry! I do think though that these dates should provide the vast majority of people with a cruise date even if it isn't exactly the date they preferred the most.
