The last time we were at TTR (right before the reno) we were invited to a great Meet & Greet- A Yankee Swap in the Sports Bar. Although it was outside our comfort zone, we decided to go. We met a great group of people with one thing in common- everyone just wanted to have a great time, drinking, laughing and enjoying TTR. Some of the Yankee swap items were talked about all week at the sexy pool! It was a great time and we made friends for life. It was such a good time that we've decided to host one this year! This meet and greet is open to everyone who wants to attend, vanilla, LS, newbie. The theme for the Yankee Swap is: Something that would get you a Yellow Card if you brought it to the sexy pool! $25 maximum cost for each item. We'll meet at 9:00 PM in the sports bar, have a couple drinks and pull numbers to swap gifts (bring your gift wrapped or in a gift bag). After the swap we'll all head to Bash to continue the party- don't forget it's Glow/Neon night! If you are interested in attending please list the names of who will be attending and if you are bringing one gift each or one as a couple ( your choice). We will give one ticket per gift. This will run like a normal Yankee swap - ticket #1 chooses first, then 2, etc.. at the end the person who had ticket #1 will have the option to swap with anyone they wish! Let's see your naughty, sexy, fun yellow card earning gifts!
Am old and never heard of this term before so I had to look it up. I learned that it's also known as the White Elephant or Dirty Santa. I know this game though, lots of laughs can be had. Can us Canadians play too? Well those of us that can still afford to anyways after converting over to Canuck money Question about the date. Is Saturday night wise for this meet & greet? My understanding is that the resort is usually packed on weekends. Might be worth considering having it on a weekday when it's quieter? Make our own party sort of thing? Anyway, just my .02 watts, sounds like fun times will be had...
Everyone is welcome! We should be fine for Saturday night. Alot of people (including us) arrive on Saturday and it's a great way to make friends you'll spend the week partying with.
My curiousity is poking me to ask, "What is a gift item that, in itself, would get me a yellow card at Bash?" I mean, I can think of many, many things that I could "use" to get a yellow card, a spatula comes to mind for some reason, but not just the item itself... just sitting all innocently on a table. Even if it was a humongous 21-inch monstrosity strap-on tool toy... just lying there and not being worn by someone with a strong back... who cares?
