I see Cancun made it manditoy masks in all public spaces as of Dec 15th, does this now include at the TTR??

I can not imagine sitting around the sexy pool with a mask on.

    Temptation isn't a public space.

In any case there's no real change as far as I can tell. Masks have been 'mandatory' since June with threats of arrest and fines etc. I haven't heard of anyone being fined or arrested.

I wear one if I have to go into a shop (they won't serve you without) but elsewhere I don't.

That’s only in town, not the resort itself. It was like that when we went also. You will get a fine in town without a mask

I read that wrong at first. I thought it said masks must be worn in pubic places. That would suck......or not!

Note Steve's message immediately above the quoted one... and Steve lives there.

You "might" get a fine, it "could" happen. I imagine that if you're a tourist, the standard liquid exchange (get your mind out of the gutter...) will get you out of the jam. Pay cop directly, save money on fine, both people depart happy.
