I don't know if anyone has had this at their job However, we have whats is a Mandatory Fun Day, with our unit. Battalion Commander said everyone must attend, and everyone will have fun. :?
Ahhhhhh...is this person the same who coined the phrase: "The beatings will continue until morale improves"?
I've actually got one of these coming up next Thursday, but from what I heard my company actually do make these days fun (It's my first ever one coming up)
A quick note to tell you how my funday went yesterday FANTASTIC A school sports day theme includinglunch when we arrived then split into 10 teams and played a bunch of races including Sack Race 3 Legged Race Egg & Spoon Space hopper race Then we had a lovely BBQ with lots of beer all provided, then we went back into central london and proceeded to get wasted All in all a great day and what makes it that much better is i was paid for it haha
Military is famous for Mandatory Fun Day and my husbands Nat'l Guard unit has now tried to strong arm it so it is Family MFD....bring your family and you won't get any details. My husband and his cronies usually make it fun for us at least.
I know that feeling. When I was stationed in the Finger Lakes region of New York we had one at Sampson State Park. It was no wonder that everybody hung out around the "Beer Truck". The truck had taps coming out of the side and that is where we spent the entire day. Not sure how good it was for Esprit de Corps but we copped a good buzz from it. Amazingly enough, I can only recall them having one Fun Day after everybody imbibed. Ha!
