Mambo Cafe to open in Hotel Zone

    Saw an ad today in Novedades that Mambo Cafe are opening up a new place in the HZ, no location mentioned in the ad.

    Anyone heard anything?

    I think they are going to open where La Placita was. They certainly have closed the restaurant and seem to be buildong something there.

    La Placita? remind me - I've heard of the name but can't place it.

    Steve,

    La Placita was located right next to the Blue Ray Marina at Km 13.5 in the Hotel Zone (next to the dive shop where I work) and Mambo Cafe is indeed going into the empty space. They are hard at work on it everyday, so I don't expect it will take them that long to get it up and running...
